To be ignorant of other combat sport when you, yourself, are in a combat sport means you’re dumb and a stupid idiot. This guy is definitely a low IQ individual. Log in to Reply Chargersfan88 September 11, 2013 Lol boxers and they wonder why their boring ass sport is dying Log in to Reply Mofo September 11, 2013 Nobody thinks your a real boxer anyways Log in to Reply drewblood September 11, 2013 Oscar / Golden Boy should drop this piece of shit. What planet do these retarded boxers live on? Who in the fuk even knows or cares who Adrien Broner is. Log in to Reply MMAgiantsilva September 11, 2013 What a dumbass he is even more dumb than Mayweather. These guy’s take too many head shots than try to conduct interview’s while being drunk or on that sizzurpe as they like to call it. This guy would get subbed quicker than Toney did. And who did he beat exactly, the one credible guy that he beat in a split decision. And from what I read most boxing pundits gave it to Mallinagi. Log in to Reply NotVinnieJones September 11, 2013 Of course he is going to belittle MMA, because he’s a boxer and MMA is growing while boxing is losing its luster nowadays. Resentment toward MMA and its rapid rise in popularity seems to be a factor when someone like him criticizes MMA. When the day comes that MMA pays out huge sums of money like boxing does, it will entice many of the highest level gifted athletes to make a determined effort to become champions. The level of fighters at the top will be unbelievable. Look at several divisions in the UFC. You have some top fighters, then you have a gap between them and the other high-ranking fighters who have their best days behind them or they simply will never be at championship level. The way it is now, we have someone like Frank Mir still in the top 10. Why? Because current fighter pay doesn’t bring out the elite of the elite in the world just yet. I don’t agree with what he says about anybody being able to become champion. But if the day comes when fighter pay is in the millions like boxing is, I think the UFC will start seeing some unbelievably gifted athletes come out of the woodwork…the type of athletes who at the present time don’t think its worth the attempt at an MMA career because the end prize isn’t necessarily worth the climb. Then we will see if he still feels if “anyone” can become world champion. Log in to Reply kung fu k9 September 12, 2013 who? whats funny is anyone with even mediocre skills in mma could beat a world champ boxer like boner boy in a scrap… Log in to Reply Adonis September 12, 2013 Broner what POS.. it’s a shame that in boxing a loser like this can be undefeated and a champion. Seriously Broner’s attitude along with Mayweather is straight un-respectable. Log in to Reply wcoastassassin September 12, 2013 UFC and Dana have taken the high road with boxing, it wasn’t always this way but we realize now more eyes on combat sports are good for everyone. You don’t see MLB hating on NFL, this is retarded. Way to alienate your fanbase. Log in to Reply Prorok September 12, 2013 Never heard of the dude. Admit not a huge boxing fan, only watch it every know and then. Guy is a fool and that’s it. Log in to Reply Ozinator September 12, 2013 does he think that way about wrestling? Can anyone learn to beat a collegiate champ Brock Lesnar? That guy was champ at wrestling AND MMA, can this guy go learn mma and meat any top 50? and for street? I’ll take my mma skills over my boxing (though my straight boxing is ok). All respect though, speed kills and a guy at this level of boxing is a problem of first moves. Log in to Reply Facefrack September 12, 2013 He’s a bright one. I know what you’re thinking, but nah, son, he is. He IS bright. Well, maybe its just his teeth. And his silver tongue. And maybe we’ll have the privilege of watching some MMA fighter take it out. Log in to Reply kimba007 September 12, 2013 I love MMA and also loved boxing but it has lost some of its luster. An intelligent listener and debater has to see what is true about what the other person is saying, whether you agree with them or not. Today, MMA is a gladiator exhibition of slaves. Just think about this, Mayweather makes 45 million dollars per fight and Anderson Silva makes 200-500 thousand dollars. UFC is the slave owner. Sad but true. Things have gotten better, some fighters used to make 10-50 thousand dollars per fight. The real question is, why would a successful boxer want fight in UFC. When a boxer fights in UFC, it is when they can no longer be successful in boxing. It is like Dancing with the Stars, when a celebrity is past their prime and needs a financial boost. Nevertheless, i do not want to see an event like boxing when a boxer runs from his opponent. Boxing is an event, MMA is a fight. Log in to Reply YODA September 12, 2013 Jealousy and ignorance… Log in to Reply wcoastassassin September 12, 2013 I know I could take this guy in a cage. Let’s see him stop a take down. I’m a fat, out of shape Judo guy that did a couple years of boxing I would beat him. Log in to Reply Joker September 12, 2013 Guys give him a break he obviously suffer from delusionary boxing syndrome = DBS. The guy not completely wrong… back in the eightys when no one knows jit-jutsu but seriously u have to be born to box?really? I guess all those past and present boxing champion just got out of bed and go fight and need no training at all. I guess all those tape showing Ali,Robinson,Dempsey,ect..training is just frabricated to viewer. I have never seen anyone diss their own sport like this clown(except conseco). Acording to him all of boxing achievements is purely base on luck and not hard work. But if he wants to play that game I guess boxing is not a real fighting sport because anyone with a decent JJ or leg kick would mop the floor with this guy. See I can sound stupid too. Log in to Reply Xformat September 12, 2013 He is correct, world champion boxers are born with certain gifts, talents and abilities, such as being able to endure a solid punch to the jaw; lengthy reach; amazing hand to eye coordination; ability to overcome fear; recoverability; able to overcome pressure; posses punching power; bones that do not break. I don’t care what professional sport you’re in, whether it is basketball, football etc….most of the qualities mentioned above all apply. I mean, Michael Jordan could not have been the best basketball player of all time if his bones could not hold up under the physical strain of the game. What if he couldn’t handle the pressure of the cameras or the crowd? The best athletes in the world must possess all of these attributes if they are going to be the best of the best. And for those that lack in perhaps even one of these attributes simply will not be the best. How Broner misses these obvious facts is nothing short of mind boggling. Apparently, ego and pride prevent this young man from being humble enough to accept that another sport is gaining significant interest. He seems to be grasping at straws to dig his boxing out of a hole that it has dug for itself. Unfortunately, boxing is trying to dig itself out of this hole but is finding itself halfway to China. Good luck to Broner….he’ll need it. Log in to Reply Twana September 12, 2013 I would call this guy a monkey will a low IQ. Log in to Reply asdsa September 12, 2013 It’s really sad to see the enormous gap in education between boxers and mma fighters. MMA must seriously be one of the best educated athlete bases against all major sports. It’s painfully obvious with interviews like these that most boxers don’t even have a high school education. Learning is key to life. Log in to Reply greengiant September 12, 2013 Its human nature to think whatever you are doing is more important then what someone else is doing. He is also so far in the red when it comes to ignorance its pathetic. There is no need to defend mma against someone so dumb. Log in to Reply OscarMayhem September 12, 2013 Overall, this guy is a crasser version of Mayweather Jr. And if you can believe it, he is able to accomplish this with Mayweather’s balls in his mouth at all times! Log in to Reply firstname.lastname@example.org September 12, 2013 it’s not a real sport so what the **** is it for **** sake you have to be in better shape to do MMA Log in to Reply Tryann Stevenson September 12, 2013 Whats “jig” short for tonymontana? “tonymontana Says, in 9-11-2013 at 22:38:48 from 188.8.131.52 you sir are a 3 time world boxing champ … and a dumb, dumb jig” Log in to Reply Tryann Stevenson September 12, 2013 Of course the majority of the boxing world is going to say that because the sport is having another sport compete with it! But you guys trashing Broner who is a damn good fighter who is doing something with his life. The dude is young let the guy mature you have to respect this young fighter. Also the idiotic ignorant comments with racist undertones like this one from “Twana Says, in 9-12-2013 at 06:50:06 from I would call this guy a monkey will a low IQ.” Is just as “dumb” and “ignorant” as you are calling him. If you want to put valid statements and rebuttals do it the right way. He made a dumb comment so what you forum/comment heroes should do is hit that man with some facts showing how Mixed Martial arts has come to be a fully recognizable sport just like boxing and any other professional major sports league and shut the Adrien up. Because most likely he would make a shitty response. Troll the dude with valid educated things and not ***** ass name calling…..You have to love the fight game as a whole and also its individual elements because they co-exist with one another making both bigger and better! Log in to Reply alexnexus September 12, 2013 ignorant fool Log in to Reply 2C-I melting September 12, 2013 If you actually do some research he’s a good boxer n he clearly has no clue about mma you’re just blowing this out of context like all you trolls do. I am with tryann a lot of comments are full of racism and it truly makes you stupid and very simple minded and may I say Slow and dimwitted hillbilly’s and this is coming from someone who lives in Chicago. Get off your mma high horse go wear your tap out shirts and go bro it out Log in to Reply wcoastassassin September 12, 2013 An average MMA fan would probably beat this dudes ass. Can’t stop a take down, submission, leg kick. Log in to Reply Thxer September 12, 2013 Saying MMA isn’t a real sports is like saying Boxing isn’t fighting, and I’m sure anyone who gets in the ring would disagree. Log in to Reply T'Challa September 12, 2013 @Tryann “jig” is short for “jigaboo” which is an archaic racist term for Blacks. Sure enough any post like this will bring out the racists who are mad that MMA is no longer dominated by Whites. As for Broner, it’s his opinion; a lot of people are very ignorant about MMA, but hopefully that will change in time. MMA doesn’t pay as much as Boxing, because it isn’t as popular as boxing. As MMA fans we live in this bubble and don’t realize that MMA hasn’t really become mainstream yet. Boxing has been around forever and is familiar to the average person. MMA is still new, and there are SO many people that think it’s some barbaric “anything goes” blood sport. Log in to Reply atomos September 13, 2013 what is a real sport? what is a fake sport? what is a sport? first we have to agree on definitions, then we can categorize. Log in to Reply Tryann Stevenson September 13, 2013 Yes yes T’challa I knew what it meant. I was just trying to get the coward to face up to his idiotic dimwitted comment. Broner and Money-May know about the sport I mean come on Jeff Mayweather is branching off into the MMA world by training prominent MMA fighters who have been and are still in the “Big Show” i.e. King Mo and Roy Nelson. I just feel that they view it as another team/competition/adversary to what they have worked hard for and they don’t want to give it as much shine as it has.
