I think this is a great idea, i feel as it resembles more like a street fight. I don’t see Lay and Pray being a good strategy.
Only down side I see to this is that awkward cage/ring. It makes backing up kinda weird.

The obvious major problem with this is getting blindsided by the third guy when engaged with the other (very dangerous), but in theory is a pretty wild/cool evolutionary concept for mma. Imagine having a match with outcomes such as win with: 2 KO’s, KO/sub, 2 subs, TKO/sub, etc.).

going to the ground is indeed not good in most street fights. The issue is, most end up there.
The key is getting good at making your stay on the ground short and lethal.
