ShoXC fight video of Thomas “Wildman” Denny Vs Sasiprapa Malaipet on March 21st, 2008.

Bad stuff.
Anyway, I really dislike the american audience even booing when someone is apologizing or recovering from a hurt. Really classless some times, they don’t seem to give a shoot about the fighters, just wanna see someone get beaten.
Good call by herb, good fight, very tasteless ending by Malaipet. Too bad, he was getting the tar beat out of him.
That Choke at beginning was the right move but he didnt execute it properly, Nice Elbows tho by thomas until those Elbows on the back of the head, Wish the Fight would have lasted a lil longer. Didnt end the way it should have
You can have all the tattoos in the world it doesnt give you heart… Another front-runner type of fighter he’s not going anywhere….. boooooooooo imo
was he looking to kill the guy or paralize him with elbows to the back of the head…
encore un qui se fout de gagner “proprement”.
le gagnant aura toujours raison disait Arona,
suis pas d’accord…
Guess someone missed the rules meeting!!!
Hope Wildmans not seriously injured and makes a full recovery.
Even worse than the strikes to the back of the head…
That STUPID ANNOUNCER!
God I hate listening to that guy.
That’s what happen when try to hide out under someone’s armpit.
I hope he’s ok… and man do I hate US audiences sometimes, they just have no respect for the fighters.
Rules meeting? There isnt a single commercial organization that allows ANY blows to the back of the head, let alone elbow strikes. What the fuck is this, Ong Bak with Tony Ja? That was some super huge bullshit. Id expel that guy from the organization.
What’s up with EliteXC? Frank Shamrok gave Renzo a concussion with illegal strikes and is moving on to fight Cung Le, this guy wins by default? BULLSHIT! As for those of you speaking ill of the American audience…check yourself. People boooo. Yes it’s in bad taste. But the American audience is the most diverse in the world, so if you hate us you hate the world. They boo becuase they wanted a better fight. They boo because they didn’t want it to end by illegal strikes. I think that is respectful to real fighters and disrespectful to cheaters. So who you sidin with?
Yes Malaipet did break the rule..he should have known better but The “Tuff” guy went down crying and stayed down. And if you watch close Denny was moving his head just fine.
i agree with PooCocktail and ME. i hate the announcer. i think wildman wussed out. he was winning and could’ve continued. he looked fine when he got on the stool and in his interview. i don’t know why he’d like to take a cheap victory like that.
He took the cheap victory because he is an aging sissy looking at the end of his career, and he needs any victory he can get. What a pussy. Of course Malaipet broke the rules, and should have had a point taken away, but “Mildman” Denny certainly could and should have continued. It is Denny, not Malaipet, who should never be allowed to fight in EliteXC again.
He was blinking hard, trying to see straight. The back of the head is illegal because it houses both the brain stem (risk of paralysis or death) and the occipital lobe of the brain (responsible for sight, risk for blindness if damaged). It’s quite possible he was really hard.
That said, I think he punked out. He sounded like such a little bitch in the interview, like he knew he punked out and was trying to explain his cowardice.
ok guys
for thos who dont know how a hit on the back of the head feel.well guys it sucks, you start to see color dots and get dizzy.Imagine you get hit by a muay thai champion.
ther is not sense on continue that fight.
those elbows were illegal on two levels. they were not only on the back of the head but came from 12 to 6. i dont think that denny punked out at all! i think that not one of you has ever been hit in the back of the head or neck. his tattoos have nothing to do with it either. plus the announcer trying to bail out malaipet by saying he was acting on instict is a fuckin jerk too since those elbows are not legal in muay thai either. those elbows were way more brutal than the ones that vagina aoki too from jz. then he said he has no idea those were illegal?!!? WTF!!! i hope this guy never fights in mma again!
obviously most of you in here are not fighters and if you are you should know better than to leave a fellow fighter out to hang like that when you know damn well all the energy, time, and sacrafice that goes into prepairing for a fight then to be illegally hit not once but three times. Its just not right. Malaipet was frustrated, and denny dominated. Regardless of the fact if denny was fine or not its not worth continuing the fight and risk further injury. I can understand if denny was loosing that he may need to cop out and use that as an excuse but he completely dominated Malaipet from the beginning. He had no reason to cop out. He played it safe. And I dont blame him. He put on a great performance. And If you dont think so, then you dont know MMA as a sport.
how can u say denny is a sissy, he wouldn’t have stopped unless he had to due to injury, he was obviously beating the crap out of that guy and was not scared of him, malaipet is the sissy that can’t fight
Yes blows to the back of the head end fights fast. I use them every chance I get in a street fight, also elbows and chokes. In MMA blows to the back of the head definitely shouldnt be allowed. We want our moneys worth & dont want the good fighters to suffer uneccesarily
Malaipet thought its a street fight hahahaha Malaipet is one tough dude man but he have ta follow the rules. Denny better watch out for them Thai elbow and Malaipet better watch out for them takedown. Look at other fighters who done illegal moves, they been fighting mma far longer then malaipet, so give malaipet a break.
you have to understand muay thai and its culture/tradition to understand what malaipet meant when he said he wouldnt tap out, tapping out and surrender means much more to them considering the teachings and disciplining of muay thai, the blows were illegal yes, malaipet humbly gave a sorry gesture to the crowd and denny, if denny was a true martial artist he would have fought til the end like a true martial artist, i dont know his martial art background but i would say most martial arts from asia teach you to fight to the end, as martial arts were used for war in ancient times, as hurt as he was if he was a true martial artist he should atleast fought til the end knowing his superior grappling skills, he says this is mixed martial arts but he doesnt have the tenacity and spirit to continue under painful circumstances like a true martial artist would, look at malaipet, almost choked and elbowed 1million times from the mounted denny, denny is not a mixed martial artist, just a whining wrestler who punches from the mounted position since wrestlers are so good in takedowns
I wanna see a re-match. Hopefully Malaipet comes prepared for his ground next time. It’s great to see thai fighters step into MMA. They can show what real muay thai is all about and they have what it takes to evolve the sport.
