Looks like a solid season. Guest appearance from Iron mike is a nice touch. and buddy getting KO’ed in the back yard looks like its gonna make for a good episode.

I think this is a worthwhile F’ing season. Fighters look like they wanna fight…KOS being KOS and GSP in all his greatness still as Sonnen says…sound like a Canadian Minnie Mouse!

Ground St.Pound Says, in 9-16-2010 at 14:23:26 from

Looks good. But is it just me or does GSP look like the stepchild of the show? He sits apart and doesn’t banter at all (granted his english isn’t as good, but it’s good enough to say “wow, that’s impressive” or “he’s got great hands”). He doesnt’ get out of his seat to compliment fighters on their wins like Dana and Kos…. He almost seems like he shouldn’t be there, or the first episode would have been the same if he wasn’t.

They even have segments with only GSP commenting, apart from Dana and Kos, who just commented together. He comes across as aloof and distant. I think Dana said two words to him all episode, and he talked to Kos the whole time.

This isn’t a good look for GSP, if you ask me. It can only make him uncomfortable and sap his confidence. I hope he becomes a viable personality on the show and doesn’t stay so hidden…..

I wanna c that dude getting punched! That’s what you get for getting in someone’s face like that. Hate when morons do that!

Looks like a good season, though why Kos starts a scrap by grabbing someone by throat is beyond me, what a tool! GSP all the way.

Bruno, why does it tell my I’ve watched 72 minutes of video today and that I have to wait 32 minutes. Maybe my IP Address is shared. I don’t know. Sucks. I just fixed myself an adult beverage and sat down to watch TUF but it won’t let me. Bummer.

Bruno: not sure. It played all the way for me.

Who’s the guy that KOS chokes at the end? Looks like “Big Worm” from Friday.

darkangel Says, in 9-16-2010 at 22:03:00 from

The thing with GSP looking distant is all editing. It’s to build in an angle for the show; if they showed everything unedited, no one would actually watch it.

Beyond that, GSP isn’t exactly the showboating type. He’s quiet, polite, and just doesn’t crave the spotlight. The UFC does this kind of thing on purpose–you can’t have two laid back guys coaching TUF–there would be no drama and no ratings. You always have two instigators as coaches, or polar opposites that will eventually piss each other off. It makes for good television.

Gonna be the best season in a long time i reckon…. fighters look really scrappy and have big personalitys which will mae for good tv.. and the lightweight division needs a good shake up aswell so this will do it the world of good

@ Ground St. Pound
You are totally right when you say that it seems like St. Pierre does not fit the scene. I live in Montreal and I’ve seen St Pierre train and fight numerous times, and not once have I not seen him give 100%, his personality takes a 360 degree turn he looks confident, sharp, and sometimes even mouthy when he’s in an octagon or a ring. But outside the gym St. Pierre is usually reserve, extremely polite and I’d even say shy when it comes to being in the spotlight. But address him on mma, boxing or training without a camera in your hand and you’ll get a lecture out of him, especially if you ask in French. You quickly come to the realization that he’s got an obsession in life; and that’s mma. It’s not going to be easy for him doing these episodes, especially that a big part of the show depends on having goofs acting like drunk high school kids For JKos on the other hand this is exactly were he fits in best. Being a moron is just who he is, I don’t think he can help it. I think St. Pierre will remain distant from the cameras/ Dana and Kos but will bond just fine with the fighters. He’ll be a great coach, mark my words.
