This shows a bunch of the lead-up to the bout in Las Vegas with Antonio Silva at UFC 156. Gives us a look at Alistair Overeem right after he was knocked out in the third round and lost a title shot.
That’ll make ya cry.
No PED’s, no victory. In the same vein, Cyborg needs to prove she can win w/o chemicals.
lol nick the tooth “some grappling techniques i didnt use on joe lauzon cause he had a fight coming up” what a badass, he woulda owned lauzon
I was about to tear up…
They did a poor job showing the fight footage.
Burt Watson is a trip
i did tear.
tear up , why? as much as i like overeem he was asking for it, and was very disrespecful to bigfoot, overeen had the win in his grasp and got too arrogant.
these things are so well produced and even more impressive, originally done. The crew behind this work should be getting huge
i wonder how much money that handicapped dude lost on the reem..
seriously needs to go to big bear and get some altitude training done and lock himself away for his next camp cause i’ve seen a lot of bad cardio guys come out of florida gyms like blackzilians..
I would love to see him go to jacksons, that would be the best move for him i think. Get out of his comfort zone…
Where do you go after you get knocked out? The Home Depot.
I read Overeem was tested right after this fight and his testosterone levels were so low it was actually dangerous. Then I read Keith Keizer (Las vegas athletic commissioner) said guys who have had a past with steroids will not be allowed to get clearance for TRT. WHAT THE F***!?? TRT should be allowed for all fighters who need it, weather they’re past steroid users or not, F*** it let them use TRT. Let these guys get to their proper testosterone levels back to normal and no more than that. This will give your Belforts, Overeems, Sonens, Vandis and many more a much longer shelf life for all of us to watch for years to come. Why the eff not? That’s what the fans want to see…
still love the reem
He responded so gracefully to his loss at the end. I love seeing that.
wow what these fighters go through!what a journey! these videos are well-made.
And it all came crashing down! I agree Ozinator. Very good production. It was cool hearing James Earl Jones voice as Frank the coach from “Best of the Best”.
Great video very well done…I dont like the Reem but props to him for maning up at the end and show a humble side…
LMAO at the taxi guy in the very end…
taxi driver hey knock it off lmao
@butternut
Training at sea level won’t really help you’re cardio.
To the moron “Tear” who said, “They did a poor job showing the fight footage”. UFC has the rights to the video of fight footage and No one can copy or reproduce or show it unless they pay UFC. Even in documentaries about UFC fighters they can not show video footage.
@ 11:08 could anyone please let me know what the song is the background. I have tried to shazaam it on my iphone and its not working ![]()
Thanks.
That is a great photo showing Overeem’s facial distortions after Silva caught him.
The whole TRT thing is just politics. Yes, some men ACTUALLY only take enough test to get their levels to high-normal. But ATHLETES do not. They may be prescribed a long-lasting test that they only need inject once a week to keep levels within normal range, but then they add more of a short-lasting or no-ester test that will clear their system in under a day. Overeem testing “dangerously low” is a pretty clear indication that he WASN’T using what most doctors would prescribe (long-estered test), but non-estered test that gives him all the benefits of elevated levels and it’s out of his system quickly (perfect for drug testing). It’s been done this way since test was made illegal. Football players, rugby players, baseball players, you name it. As long as they don’t get randomly tested, they can time it and get away with it 100% of the time.
Tuna you are correct on your testosterone knowledge to a certain degree, but I dont think overeem was using a short acting ester. I state this judging by his physique – clearly he’s beenoff the sauce for quite some time. He KNEW he would be tested randomly, so he had to lay off the testosterone completely. Obviously he probably suffers from hypogonadism now (for whatever reason, probably “hrt” lol) and that’s why he tested low, and his physique showed it. Nevertheless, He is still one jacked MOFO. And he looked decent in the fight (despite the disrespectful antics). But NO amount of steroids can make you take a punch.
