Cash is King, period. Not any fighter. You guys are proof that Sonnen creates interest, he polarizes people, drives interest, and regardless of the outcome of his fights, laughs all the way to the bank.

The UFC is a profit center and these fighters are implements to achieve that end. Once fans are indifferent towards a fighter and his antics, the UFC will follow.

The horde makes Sonnen possible, nothing else.

You people are pathetic. So what sonnen gets a shot? He’s ready and willing. Shogun and machida were scared. Hendo basically ruined the 151 card, by waiting until the last min to see a doctor. Sonnen stepped up and he is a better draw than most at 205. So what he lost to Anderson? He did a hell of a lot better than and 205er has. we all want to see sonnen vs Jones. Either you want to see Jones get beat or sonnen get beat. So stfu about who deserves it. no one at 205 deserves it. You can’t Bitch about something you turned down. and I’m a big hendo, machida fan. It would be great if sonnen shocks the world. I doubt it, but I’m hoping.

For those of you defending the Sonnen decision.

Machida and Shogun turned down the short notice title fight.
No one turned down the full training camp title fight.

I am sure Bob Sapp would agree to a short notice title fight, why not bring him in when a hw title contender is needed?

Rayroy disn Hendo like that proves you are an idiot. Besides, everyone the put in against jones is past his prime. Look at the ages of his last 5 or so opponents. That and he has an 8 to 10 inch reach advantage over each of them as we’ll. he’s a manufactured champion like they do in boxing, Jeff Lacey is a prime example, Jones is just another Lacey.

@anderson cheats very good point. What does it say about Machia and Shogun for declining to fight JJ? Damn those are some bad dudes, but too scared to fight JJ again that just proves how much of a beast JJ. They know how lethal he is and are afraid to get wrecked again.
