All single man sports athletes have to make calculated decisions before committing to a potentially life changing competition. Jon Jones has everything to lose and Chael had everything to gain. I know it doesn’t make Jon look like a great champion, but if you way the pros and cons of losing vs passing, there are 1000 reasons why passing on this fight makes more sense. I support Jon Jones and I’m still a huge fan of his work. He’s amazing to watch and that won’t change for me! God bless Jon Jones!

He couldn’t finish Silva or any of the past 10 guys he’s been in a ground fight with. Even if he won and made his followers happy, they would eventually get bored of his style. He’s not a great champ purely because his style is one dimensional and boring. I like Chael Sonnen, he’s pretty funny, but he has you all fooled. He contradicts himself and lies through his teeth. He only made $50,000 on the Bisbing fight and has never made more than $45k in any one night. Lastly, Charl is marketable and that’s what the UFC loves, but after people realize that he’s not really that great of a fighter, it’s over. I guarantee he’ll never be IB a championship fight after this all passes.

With that said, unionized rules would prevent this kind of fearful reaction from anyone thinking that the UFC controls their lives. If you can’t handle a monopoly, don’t put in an app. for a job. Fighters should strike and get this monopoly overturned. Unionize baby, Greg Jackson’s Dana’ s bitch, Jone Jones is a young kid experience a lot of heat for something he didn’t do. He’s a good kid that has made some mistakes, but is in no way responsible for the cancellation of this event. Dana could have taken a loss and made some refunds but still put on another main event. Bad emotional decision by a guy who’s to powerful. Their should at least have been a board of directors decision, you know?
