Evan`s dead really shocked my entire self. 2 years after his dead I felt some amazing conection to him, crying a few times. right in those days i almost die from a cerebro vascular accdent. For some reason that i dont undestrand, I escaped flawless and didnt get any sequela, considering that the injury was located of the riskiest are of the brain, Left hemisphere, right next to vision and cognitive area

I can’t imagine being in the desert for so long. He reminds me a lot of my brother. For the mental issues and demons he faced he sure accomplished a lot in life. They should find some rich guy to help finish this movie though, the have not’s have nothing anymore. We can barely eat much less make movies. God bless Evan Tanner and I hope he is in a better place and at peace.

@eigss
You are pretty lucky. My boxing coach had soemething similar happen to him 2 years ago and he can barely walk by himself now.

I’m happy to know it wasn’t a suicide.

I hope you get well physically and financially. That’s one of the worst thing about getting sick or having a bad accident in countries with no help for health issues. I hate giving more then 50% of my check to the governement in Canada but at least people don’t get ruined if they have health problems.

From what i understand the place he hiked to was elevated, well in the desert water will not be up so wtf was he thinking or was he thinking that at all. I think he thought he had enough water to make it there and back but both ideas would take an idiot to believe. You can’t carry enough water to make it there and back without the weight of what you would need killing you first and common sense tell s me there will not be water in a desert anywhere elevated so poor planning killed Tanner and he was a good guy or all the interviews i seen of him made me think he was a very good person. Even good people do dumb s*** like hiking alone in a desert that gets to 110 and humidity making that worse and his camp seemed to be in an odd place i mean on a motorcycle you can find shade somewhere so the whole trip looked as it was planned by a dumbass. just sayin

No it was not his fall. “Believe in the power of one” was his rise. He just made a mistake. He probably wanted to test himself by not going to the nearby town after the springs. A mistake. Evan had huge heart and I’m not sure the guy that said “the power of one” was his fall knows what its like to have that kind of vision and that kind of “test yourself” mentality. If Evan would have pulled it off he would be known as one of the baddest men alive but sadly he didn’t. Much respect for you Evan,I will carry your quote with me for life. “Believe in the power of one”

@jasonfn22 – I see your point a bit but there is a way of putting things with a little more respect. Learn how to have respect in your words and also speak the truth then you will start to get through to people.

You can’t deny his saying. “Believe in the power of one” because look at all the things he did alone. He learned to fight at a high level without any training partners or coaches. Just think of all the unknown things he did. Its a true saying but its also true sometimes the simplest thing is the answer,like more water.

Instead of focusing primarily on his death, I thought they could have done more for his legacy by talking about his accomplishments and the struggles he had previously overcome in life.

Noble that he didn’t deny the feelings that he felt very wrong inside for whatever reason, everyone hits deep depression at some point or has anxiety go through the roof, to hike out in that kind of heat and humidity you already know what you’re in for, and I don’t believe he brought either depression or anxiety with him. He had a phone etc, He was just not prepared enough and ended up not making it, leave it at that please. He was one of the the GREAT people of this MMA industry and he was searching and trying to understand ‘life’ that is where he made a mistake to such a high degree, go on a mission to find the purpose of life in 110-125F even had he made it back I don’t get how it would have fixed things? I pray he’s in a better place now, these bodies are just bodies are spirit lives on much longer than anything. Leave this be, we are glad he didn’t commit suicide and you’ll get 0 dollars to produce a film about a man who didn’t drag people down with him like the greedy losers [despite that they're rich now] still sad losers trying to act like they care, if they did they’d pay for it themselves and give the money to Tanners family
