Why would u lose respect for him for going to wcw. Ken shamrock, and dan severn both did pro wrestling. Its called trying to make a living!! There was absolutely no $$ in cage fighting back then. Guy had to make ends meet. They fought for the love of fighting and the competition. I dont get the hate for tank. Hes a legend.

Tank is cool. Most of u commenting arent old enough to remember the nhb days. U dont have to be all nicey and talk good about people to be a fighter. I agree with tank about the difference in nhb and mma. I would like to see these guys fight 3xs in one night and it be no time limit and no rules and no weight class. It takes a whole other level of toughness and heart to do that. Yes the fighters today are more skilled because the sport has evolved. Just think about how many fights would have gone different had guys not been saved by the bell.! Many of which were title fights. Just because there arent strict rules and no time limits. Doesnt mean it cant still be a sport. Back then at least u knew u were gonna see a fight. And not someone tryin to win on pts. I mean i know those days are gone and im cool with that. Im just glad i got to see those times to appreciate legends like tank, don frye, ROYCE GRACIE, both shamrocks, dan severn, tito ortiz, i could go on for days. Say what u want but if it wasnt for guys like tank that put asses in seats and ppvs ordered there wouldnt be your precious mma. On a side note. I dont completely hate the rule system. I just think knees and kicks to the head should be allowed at all times. Even anderson silva agrees, he said so in an interview.

Tank was a beast in the Bars.. and he got to demo that in the big leagues. Whether he was any good or not, it a big accomplishment, from bars to the octagon… no one can do that anymore, that time has past and he took his shot when he got it. That is what makes him great, not his Mixed Martial Arts. Thanks Tank for holding it down for all the Bar Brawlers.
