No Holds Barred Champion Tank Abbott Talks Tito Ortiz, Frank Shamrock And His Possible Next Fight In Interview With Aaron Tru.
Whys Tank chirpin Tito’s dye job? I don’t think that thick brown flow is natural either.
didn’t know that about the training partner laydowns. hmmm
his teeth almost fall out 2:42 hahahah
pretty decent interview, good to see tank doing well
I’d love to see him fight dos santos
GIMLI?!
WOW! Tank looks like father time and he is still fighting NHB?! Im sure they are much like his backyard brawl with Ferrozzo where both guys gassed out within the first three minutes of the fight and Tank laid on top of him until people got tired of it. I dont miss the days of out of shape goons clubbing each other until they gas out.
Tank is a legend and I always loved his fights back in the day, but I dont understand why he thinks he is more of a warrior than everyone else. He got beat in the last few cage fights i”ve seen him in and I’m sure he would lose to them on the street unless he plans on pulling out a beer bottle or something.I get that he likes hurting people but, Anyone that steps out there is a warrior and if you win you are more of a warrior regardless of your demeanor
“i have never heard of them so that says something right there”… this man is deluded. Never knew he was such a tool… also two of the above comments are right… he is one to be talking about dyed hair– his hair is clearly dyed and he’s got fake teeth. backyard brawls don’t prove who’s the toughest… they are just ways for people with no talent to fight and feel good about themselves
lol this bum has absolutely no respect for a sport that he couldn’t cut it in. f****** joke got ko’d by kimbo slice and he calls all the ufc fighters clowns who wanna fight on tv… eat another bag of chips and have another beer you fat slob
Nice wig!
It’s sad to see someone like Tank never say anything good about anyone else.
I am also an H.B. local. Tank is hardly he baddest dude on Main Street.
true 2:42 teeth show hauhau
@ajmyers his teeth almost fall out 2:42 <that was funny
def wanna see a Tito Tank NHB match.
f***** weirdo, he lost so many NHB fight… Oleg Taktarov was a tough guy
yeah that’s right a “true warrior” has no respect for ‘martial arts’, no respect for his own body, wants to hurt people as his primary motivations, and gets his ass handed to him more times than he wins. ‘I’m the closest thing to a true warrior that’s ever been in a cage.’ Why? Because you have no skills and are still willing to fight? That’s not the ‘warrior spirit’. That’s called being a hotheaded idiot. And what a hypocrite talking about ‘wanting to be on TV’. If shows like “Friends” were still calling him up to do cameos, you think he wouldn’t do it? Reason you’re not on TV anymore is cause you’re a fat washed up has-been. Aaron Tru also needs to stop licking people’s balls in his interviews.
i think thats the most sober tank weve ever seen
Seems odd that an espn reporter is throwing Tank lob-ball questions in order to backhand the sport of mma. Tank is a legend but the sport passed him by and now he just wants to trade punches with people…to each their own. I’m sure any current UFC champ would be him in a drunken street fight just the same.
Tank talking down MMA. He would be finished by any UFC champ even the fly weights.
Was that Daniel Boone? His coon-skin hat is second to none!
Yeah, the Scott Ferrozzo fight was priceless. That “fight” would do better as a Weight Watchers commercial than an NHB event.
I love when he bashed Huge Duarte’s brains in. He was in really good shape in that fight because he did road work, but dammit he became out of shape when he fought Rizzo and paid dearly for it. That’s one of my favorite KOs though when Rizzo dropped his ass it looked like all of Brazil was going to explode!
Why is Santa wearing a wig? That dye job he did to part of his hair is pretty weird.
@daaveeee, what exactly do you expect to see if Tank fought Dos Santos? Tank was a bar room brawler, nothing more, he had a little success in the early years of UFC against other brawlers, but when he faced a submission specialist, he was done, he even got his a$$ kicked standing by a soon to be 20 year old Vitor Belfort, Tank never evolved with the sport! and he talks $hit about Tito? I’m not a Tito fan, but as bad as Tito was at the end of his career, he would still make quick work of Tank…on a side note: nice hair helmet Tank!
I think I gave tank some change at the gas station!! DAM I shoulda took a pic
Wow Tank dropping bombs on everyone….i’m starting to think he’s just a cantankerous, bitter old man now….Tito is a very unlikeable, arrogant prick but i wouldn’t say he’s not tough…he had a good run.
Tank always was just a 1 dimensional fighter…..he never had much of a ground game, kicks, submissions or cardio……just a big belly and punches
I love hearing Tank talk s*** about other fighters(real fighters not fat old drunk who wants to hurt for fun). Then I make a scenario in my head of what would happen to Tank if he was in a fight with one of these pussies with their “martial arts technics”…It always ends with Tank knocked out and strugling to get back on his feet like a fat turtle. It’s easy to talk s*** about fighters when you lost all your fights. He should hang with Steven Seagal and they could talk to each other how two out of shape 50 years old guys are better warriors and fighters then current MMA champions.
tobes; Have you realized that your post shows you are similar to those you criticize?
In another word “you are a hotheaded idiot too!”
C’mon people, what do you expect? Some nice-mannered guy with great things to say about anyone? It’s Tank Abbott! Tank is a classic bar brawler who think he is a WWE heel. He was part of the vale-tudo/ streetfighting culture back in the 80s ad early 90s. Bikers, backyard brawlers, drunk WWF wannabes, etc. The only thing he knows is to drink and get punched in the head.
I still think he was hilarious in the UFC, taking short-notice fights right out of the bar. He is not an MMA fighter, just a brawler thrown in a cage for fun and money.
Greatest Ever!!!
So what he’s saying here is that his best chance to win is by “death blows” to the back of the neck etc, or shots to the groin. What did rules have to do with being knocked out by Kimbo Slice? What a douchebag. I always liked Tank….until now.
Is that a XL full hairpiece, head+beard? Nice one!
Tank was a beast in the Bars.. and he got to demo that in the big leagues. Whether he was any good or not, it a big accomplishment, from bars to the octagon… no one can do that anymore, that time has past and he took his shot when he got it. That is what makes him great, not his Mixed Martial Arts. Thanks Tank for holding it down for all the Bar Brawlers.
I have not read Franks Boob… I do not know how to read jajajaj!!!!
ooopppsss!! I meant book, now I myself don`t know how to spell. Tank and I should hang out!
If he talks enough s*** he might get a title shot against Bones!
lost all respect for tank when he went to wcw. he is a clown.
Tank is cool. Most of u commenting arent old enough to remember the nhb days. U dont have to be all nicey and talk good about people to be a fighter. I agree with tank about the difference in nhb and mma. I would like to see these guys fight 3xs in one night and it be no time limit and no rules and no weight class. It takes a whole other level of toughness and heart to do that. Yes the fighters today are more skilled because the sport has evolved. Just think about how many fights would have gone different had guys not been saved by the bell.! Many of which were title fights. Just because there arent strict rules and no time limits. Doesnt mean it cant still be a sport. Back then at least u knew u were gonna see a fight. And not someone tryin to win on pts. I mean i know those days are gone and im cool with that. Im just glad i got to see those times to appreciate legends like tank, don frye, ROYCE GRACIE, both shamrocks, dan severn, tito ortiz, i could go on for days. Say what u want but if it wasnt for guys like tank that put asses in seats and ppvs ordered there wouldnt be your precious mma. On a side note. I dont completely hate the rule system. I just think knees and kicks to the head should be allowed at all times. Even anderson silva agrees, he said so in an interview.
Why would u lose respect for him for going to wcw. Ken shamrock, and dan severn both did pro wrestling. Its called trying to make a living!! There was absolutely no $$ in cage fighting back then. Guy had to make ends meet. They fought for the love of fighting and the competition. I dont get the hate for tank. Hes a legend.
