With the withdrawal of Bob Sapp from London’s Cage Rage Championships 21 some of the competitive edge has left this MMA Fighting Card.
Going up against the UFC on the same night in the same country was going to be a fair fight for the home town English bunch. When CRC 21 lost their headliner with Bob Sapp it looks like this weekend will swing the UFC’s way.
Sapp is a huge star all over the world. Tank Abbott while an MMA icon in the U.S. is not the world wide draw they lost in Sapp. Gary Turner might lose some focus this weekend and help revive Abbot’s fading fighting career. I just wouldn’t bet on it and we should see Turner give the home crowd something to cheer about. Just too bad it won’t be against Sapp.
