this was a great fight…
of course they gave the fight to gomi there in japan!!
Wtf if Tony can twirl on the ground after that he should of tried a little bit harder to put the fight away…
Gomi looked horrible in the later rounds, but Tony was still afraid of his striking lol…
fight started good, then went retarded because Gomi was too gassed and Tony wouldn’t engage.
123 went gomi
45 went Tony
Gomi looks terrible…gas too fast would never compete in the UFC.
Great match.
Great show of technique from both fighters.
Great decision.
Thanks, Bruno.
Gomi could have saved himself a lot of trouble by snapping Hervey’s arm at the end of the third. Tony should be grateful Gomi’s a nice dude… he could have taken that arm home with him.
he can twirl because it was after the fight & Gomi wasn’t GnP’ing him in the process.
Hervey took some serious punches; even this lackadaisical, lackluster Gomi still possesses serious KO power. Gomi himself has 1 hell of a chin, he took some hellacious knees in the 4th.
If it was the UFC, the fight would have been stopped in 3 different occasions.
Nothing like old Vale Tudo to test the real limits…
Both fighters had their moments: Gomi dominated the beginning of the fight until the arm bar, then he gased. Harvey almost knocked Gomi out twice, but than gave up on trying.
Great stuff!
Gomi came the closest to ending the fight. Hervey was helpless after taking those knees to the face and ribs. He had nothing left. Saved by the bell.
Wow!! Hell of a fight. Gomi should have set down after the first if he was just going to gas later on and then not even make it back to his corner. Agreed with 1,2,3Gomi & 4,5Tony.
They didn’t give the fight to Gomi because they were in Japan. He won easy in my opinion. Obviously Tony was doing better in the later rounds but Gomi dominated the first half of the fight and Tony definitely NEVER dominated Gomi besides for a few seconds in round 4. Great fight.
lol at jr. Gomi won, and ya Whats the deal Tony??? should have pushed that whole minute come on now
gomi seems to have lost his motivation to train , either that or the sports getting better and hes not keeping up. he seems more n more tired since the diez fight
yea, great fight.
…..Sweet fight!!!..Gomi is a bad ass!!! …props to Tony too, nice kicks…/. and about the gassing part,…let’s see you fight 5 rounds……ha!….don’t think so…
This may be a stupid question, but why the championship rounds? I didn’t see any belt or trophy.
amazing fight!!
He broke his rib after round 3, so that’s why he seemed to be gassed and in trouble.
if gomi hasn’t gassed then he would barely lose any round, it was really a great fight, 2 tough fighters….. nice techniques, strikes hard with great chin! 2 thumbs up!!!
jr your an idiot, did you bother watch rounds 1 2 3
Gomi said translated the best i could…that he broke his rib in the 3rd round…was trying to keep his hands down so he could breathe. Wow that guy would rule in the UFC!
Gomi and Nog prob have the best chins in MMA. Gomi needs to address his gassing issues tho. He’s one of the best LW’s in the world but ends up with problems due to cardio.
Risked a loss to this kid he was beating the crap out of.
great comeback for harvey in those last rounds .he should have put him away. gomi had that fight won after the third.he did just enough not to get a 10/8 or get knocked out after that . gomi has a huge dome and can take a beating/ harvey took a beating and almost came back with a win.this fight would have been over in the 3rd if it were a UFC.good fight /good decision
WOW! just like shogun tony got robbed out of this one!
LOL
man Gomi is nice… he should have broken that arm at the end of the 3rd and saved himself the trouble… but he needs to seriously fire his strength and conditioning coach and hire a new one.
