This is the fight video from Pride 33 featuring Takanori Gomi vs. Nick Diaz.

The fight was the last so far for Diaz since he failed the drug test that was taken shortly before his fight with Takanori Gomi. Diaz tested positive for marijuana. The NSAC declared the fight a “No Contest” and suspended Diaz for 6 months with a fine of 20% of his earnings ($3,000) he won from the fight against Gomi.

These two fighters supplied nonstop action and this fight was considered by many to be the best MMA fight of the year.

That was one of the best fights in MMA history… and the fact that Nick Diaz was supposedly high out of his mind makes it an even greater fight… and it even earned Gomi the nickname Go Go-Gomi… lol

i don’t what the hell happened to gomi that night. he just gased out. great move by diaz, you don’t see that pulled off too often in fights. and not counting that a as win for diaz is total bullshit. really?, cause he somked some mj. that would’ve only slowed him down, it’s not like it was roids.

that was a fucking good fight,the best fight i seen so far.i am a big fan of the diaz brothers, there some tru blood fighters, gomi looked like he been smoking maryjane,he was all out of breath, out of shape.nick diaz won that fight officialy or not.who said marijane slowed you down?

Gomi is such an entertainer! It sucks that Zuffa is such a bunch of cock-gobblers, they should have bent over backwards to sign this guy. I thought they wanted to unify the belts? But, no Fedor, no Gomi, no unification.

awwwwesome fight, I love this one, gomi looked good early, n diaz’s boxing style is so unorthodox and crazy. Too bad it couldn’t count as a win which is bs. I think Gomi’s cardio may be becuz of jetlag or not havin fought in the statez in a long time?

man, nick and nate are both some of my favorite fighters, i love those guys. both of them have good boxing and good bjj, always exciting to watch.

I don’t say this often but gomi might’ve gassed from not being able to use roids. They don’t check where he fights almost all his fights (Japan) but this fight was in the US. Gassing after just 3 minutes is just unexplainable otherwise for a fighter that experienced.
