Even though he won, I think Gomi should retire. Log in to Reply fighter February 26, 2012 Man what a fight!!!!!! Gomi has Heart Log in to Reply Tempted February 26, 2012 If you wondered why Nate Diaz annihilated Gomi, just watch this fight. Crap for stand up and NO defense. Its like he tries to block all of the shots with his face. Technique just plain sucks. I still love watching him fight. Log in to Reply FailSonnen February 26, 2012 Go Go Gomi! Log in to Reply ryeboi February 26, 2012 mmmmkayy…neither of these two have a real shot. Log in to Reply emrb February 26, 2012 More effing fence grabbing. Gomi stopped 2 takedowns, including one where he gained better position by grabbing the damn fence and then got the stoppage! I say again – They must begin to penalize fence grabbing with loss of position. Things like what Gomi did tonight are fight changers – by breaking the damn rules with zero negative consequences for doing it. It sucks, and Gomi should retire if he has to do that to get a W. Log in to Reply ness2k February 26, 2012 Good to see that some pride fighters won tonight! Log in to Reply Raymanlegy February 26, 2012 Terrible Referee. Log in to Reply PitfighterZ February 26, 2012 Yep, Sapo videos work for me better than ReelHD thing. I know it’s complicated to find these videos, but if you have the choice… Gomi is a legend, but he just hasn’t evolved. He can still hang as a gatekeeper, if that’s what he wants, but retiring with a nice comeback victory in Japan wouldn’t be bad either. Log in to Reply kenmolina February 26, 2012 it would be so simple to make repeated strikes to the back of the head, or a solid one, like striking below the belt. give the guy getting cheated time to recover, cost the offender advantageous position, and potential points or the fight. Log in to Reply bigtigger February 26, 2012 Gomi needs some serious technical help. I used to love to watch him fight but now he seems back in 1996. Log in to Reply KungFuLowKick February 26, 2012 Gomi didnt look great it’s true but I’m really blown away by Mitsuoka. He’s a 145 fighter, maybe even 135 and he dropped Gomi got his back and got the inverted triangle.I’m sure if he would’ve just pucnhed him the rest of the round he would’ve won.But you can’t be mad at him for throwing the inverted triangle. He had it.10 more seconds and Mitsuoka had the submission of the night.I want to see him in 145 or 135 if he can. Log in to Reply thatguy February 26, 2012 This isn’t the same PRIDE Gomi. He should retire even if he doesn’t want to, he looks so sluggish. Log in to Reply FedorFailsAgain February 26, 2012 Are you guys NUTS? Telling Gomi to retire so soon. Are you the same f*** wads who watch shitty CroCop fights time after time and not call for that loser to retire too? Log in to Reply barn February 27, 2012 i love gomi fights Log in to Reply just0 February 27, 2012 Nice to see Gomi with another win, but he needs to learn to keep one of his other hands up when he throughs. Log in to Reply PitfighterZ February 27, 2012 @FedorFailsAgain: I don’t know what you are mumbling about; I did say that Cro Cop needed to retire after his 3rd KO in the UFC. Some fighters simply don’t improve their technique after a while. It’s not an age thing, it’s just a mental thing. Look at Hunt and he is older than most, but he is still learning. Log in to Reply trousersnake February 28, 2012 I am not impressed by Gomi. Sloppy. Log in to Reply Leave a Reply Cancel reply You must be logged in to post a comment.
