They’re set to race on track in a competition governed by class. Car A. is driven by Michael Schumacher with a naturally aspirated engine. Car B. is driven by Earhart Jr., supercharged. It would be safe to wage if the track consisted of straightaways even with F1 title experience, gold ole Ricky Bobby might have a better chance at victory being that his vehicle displaces more via the bolt on. The point here is, these fighters/athletes are on a professional level. What should ALWAYS separate them is talent/skill not inhuman brute strength/agility. This continues to be an ongoing issue with a tremendous grey area, and loopholes that will persist until a governing body steps in and engraves a specific regulation against it completely.

I remember a Fight Science where they studied the affects of roids and they proved that natural ability and the natural system such as adrenaline is much more powerful than taking substances. The substances cancel out what the body naturally does.

I’ve read some comments saying that this proves steroids doesn’t win fights, why would Bonnar take them if Sonnen couldn’t win taking them?, etc… Of course, it’s true that taking steroids doesn’t guarantee a win over a superior opponent. Silva is better than Bonnar. Period. However, and it’s strange that I should even feel the need to mention this, they do give you an athletic boost. Newsflash: that’s why people take them. If you’re Bonnar walking into this fight, you know how good Silva is and you want to give yourself every possible edge to increase your chance of winning. Maybe steroids would have given him THAT takedown or THAT punch.

1. Bonnar was nailed for a steroid that is for cutting weight… not building mass.
2. Sonnen got busted for Testosterone, not steroids… there is a big difference.
