I don’t think so. Log in to Reply KungFuLowKick August 3, 2013 Oshawabinalex If you got those numbers from “sport science” then you shouldn’t talk about Aldo not being in the p4p. My “numbers” are when Aldo kicks his opponents, the guy looks like he wants to die from pain. When GSp kicks, it looks like it hurts them a bit, but nothhing special. basic math here : force= mass x speed. If GSP has at least 30 more pounds of “mass” then of course his numbers will be higher. Log in to Reply KungFuLowKick August 3, 2013 There’s also alo of things spoert science can’t count. Like the way people distribute their weight in their strike and the snapping motion of your strikes. This can’t really be calcualted and these 2 things can make the difference between a good hit and a knockout hit. Log in to Reply Young August 3, 2013 GSP is hella bigger than aldo what do you expect? I’d take aldo over GSP in p4p any day, strikes that GSP don’t even use. Those numbers for 145 pound man, imagine if he was a welterweight cutting weight like GSP. Log in to Reply Ironfist August 3, 2013 That show seems like bs to me every show the guy happens to have the strongest strike no matter what size he is. Plus those pads dont move like a person being hit. Log in to Reply phil August 3, 2013 Even at their current weights… gsp wouldn’t be able to grind out a decision against aldo. gsp is good at winning… period …. nobodis scared to fight him. aldo on the oher hand is one scarey mofo… Log in to Reply Oshawabinalex August 3, 2013 Yes those numbers are from sports science. And according to sports science GSP hits harder than Cain, so throw the weight argument out. “the way people distribute their weight”?? Sports science measures from point of impact, it’s a measure of the end product. It’s hard to believe he hits that hard, but it’s “science” Log in to Reply OverHandGoodNight August 3, 2013 Numbers aren’t everything. Timing is what is important. Catch a guy coming in and the force is multiplied. Roll with the punch and it is reduced. Timing and killer instinct is what ends fights!
