This is the MMA fight video of Shinya Aoki verses Bu Kyung Jung at Yarennoka!

Aoki, the ex-police officer and Japanese grappling superstar came in to this contest a heavy favorite over Bu Kyung June. It suprised most when this became one of the best fights of the night.

Watching this fight, makes me really miss pride… I hope M-1 is just like pride.I miss the unpredictability of pride… for some reason the UFC seems more predictable. Pride matches were real cliffhangers. Nothing against UFC fighters, or the UFC.

Aoki showed a lot of poise and patience under those armbars. A lot of guys would’ve tapped there. I’d like to see Aoki against some of the 155ers in the UFC.

i believe the rules of Yarennoka were no soccer kicks and stomping except Vale Tudo Kicks which is allowing fighters to kick one another if both of the fighters are on the ground or a fighter on the ground could upkick the stand up opponent

That wasn’t great grappling. It was slow paced, barely no stand up and passive grappling! When both of them had armbars ready to go, they didn’t aggressively go for the kill.

why was there only 2 rounds? i thought there were 3 in pride?
