I dont rate Aoki s much as some do – sure hes has some good subs but hes not competing at world class level. He’d probably make a decent gatekeeper though for the UFC.

He sucks! Antonio McKee sucks too! I was so happy when Chris Brennan kicked him in his ugly face at KOTC in 2000. One of the best head kick KOs ever! (next to Yves flying head kick over Josh Thomson).

probably a broken orbital…not a big fan of mckee but i dont think he’s the type of fighter to take a dive
good win for Aoki… I don’t think he’d be an unstoppable force in the UFC but he would be one of the top guys… like a Rafael Dos Anjos or Sam Stout type fighter

That’s the problem with specialists.Yes they can be very devastating to lose to but everybody knows excatly what they will do.Jake Shields is the same.He’s a great grappler and if he gets on top of you he will probably win but that’s it.Specialists won’t be around much longer with the Jon Jones,Rory and Micheal McDonald,who aren’t even 25 and are good everywhere.

He’s perfectly suited to the confined spaces of a Ring and would be trouble for ANYONE in a ring using Japanese rules/scoring. In the wide open spaces of the cage and wrestler-friendly rules of the Unified system, I doubt he’d crack top 20. He has great skills, but he’s as suited to the ring as say, Clay Guida is suited to the cage.
