Shane didn’t finish, but he sure came close. It was just via grappling instead of striking. And grappling is just as much part of the sport as striking.

I don’t call taking the back with both hooks in, nearly securing a rear-naked choke, mounting, nearly securing a guillotine, and nearly securing a leg lock “winning by lay ‘n pray”.

Surprising result. Roop’s striking looks much improved since the show. Was not really impressed by Nelson at all.

LOL,, Clearly Shane won the first two round,, Roop took the third,, It was insanely boring,, but i cant see how the 2nd judge or any1 could give Roop that fight
Dana should pit Shane vs Junnie, just from what happened on the show, i would love to see that. Junie would crush him

Both of them suck! This was a horrible, pathetic fight! They shouldn’t be in the UFC at all. I’ve seen 10 year-old kids with more skills.

I thought this fight was awesome. Starts a bit slow, but Roop really got ON HIM when he needed to. These are my favorite fights to watch. Tough to pick a winner.
