i didnt think brock was that much bigger than carwin till they stood side by side after the fight. brock makes carwin look almost like a 205er. carwin cant handle brocks takesdown. his only hope is a knockout punch and i dont think he’ll get it. im thinkinng brock will explode on carwin and embarrass him. carwin better give up the engineering job and take this next fight seriously.

If you pay attention to the cartoon, you see that he actually bounces back many times into Carwin’s fists already.
No need to come back more than that, it will only get him dizzier…
I may be wrong, but I don’t see Brock having much chance against Carwin. If you watch every Brock’s fight so far, he really imposed his position with his strength, not technique. Even after putting all the muscles on, Mir couldn’t even begin to handle Carwin’s strength.
So Brock and Carwin may be closely matched in strength. Even if Brock is a better wrestler, Carwin has shown both in training and in fights that he is a much better, well-rounded MMA fighter.
I think Carwin will knock Brock out and that the fight will be very close to what this fight against Mir was. Some greco-roman clinch, some knees, and some punches to the face until Brock sees everything dark.

Ummmm… little wrestling math. Try to stay with me:
Olympic alternate > NCAA Div I Champ > NCAA Div II Champ
i.e.: It is NO surprise to anyone who knows anything about wrestling that an Olympic alternate in Greco can cinch in an underhook and prevent an NCAA Div I collegiate champ from taking him down.
Carwin’s still a bit of an unknown comodity, in my opinion, and he obviously has heavy, heavy hands (more power than Brock, no doubt), so he certainly has at least a puncher’s chance, and then some (as a very solid and very hungry fighter) but I’m inclined to think that the only thing that will happen when he faces Lesnar is that the wrestling illiterates will be given a crash course in the difference between NCAA Div I and NCAA Div II. Not in the same league, folks. Not. Even. Close.
