The K-1 RISING 2012 heavyweight bout took place on August 8th, 2012 at the Los Angeles Arena in downtown LA. Xavier Vigney (10-1) vs. Seth Petruzelli (15-6, 12 KOS).
I wish the K1 fighters from the previous tournament participated. This….this simply doesn’t seem right–the fighters seem less skilled than previous K1 events. Either way, thanks Bruno for the video.
ROFL @ CECIL PEOPLES!!!!!!!!!!!
Surprising no 3 knockdown rule… entertaining fight though, guys throwing bombs.
Damn Vigney looked to be in a different weight class he was huge compared to Petruzelli. Also, doesn’t surprise me Cecil struggles counting to 10.
@Goomba – I just wish more skilled people showed up to the open try-outs they had…ha!
Cecil is as bad in reffing as he is in judging.Seth was finished before the bell.He didn’t make the count.I like Seth but his place is not in a kickboxing ring. He’s a good striker but there’s good striker and there’s k-1 level striker.
These are preliminary rounds. Think of it like American Idol. The top guys go on to fight higher level opponents. They did a talent search at Venice Beach in California and this is what we ended up with. Lots of KOs.
hmm was i the only one who noticed that, at the end of the fight when the winners corner man gave him water he spat at his face and didnt even wipe it off or flinch… ewww
uhh i actually thought this ref did a great job. he knows what the fans want to see
I was rooting for Seth but that dude was just too big. Didnt really seem fair to begin with
You can tell that Seth still has the mindset of an MMA fighter. He so wanted to grab Vigney and take him to the ground. Sorry Seth you are in the world of kickboxing now.
what can you do seth has a f*** heart
Cecil waved the fight off at the 2nd knock down!!!
nice fighter
