Sergio Martinez took on No. 3 ranked Middleweight, Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. on September 15, 2012, at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas for Chavez Jr’s WBC Middleweight title.
Somebody correct me if I’m wrong please… At 49:00 Chavez’ trainer goes to pour water on top of his head and his other trainer says, “No! No! That’s the one we put the medicine in!”
Am I hearing things?
yea he said medicine just like the arguello fight i think freddy roach fighters are using some type of energy s*** to their fighters …
His cut man said no no no…he was trying to stop the cut with vaseline
You are not hearing things Benjamin. I hope they clarify what that meant. What a one sided fight up until the last round when Chavez jr was looking to finish Martinez. If Chavez took this fight more seriously and trained the way Freddie wanted him to train it wouldn’t have been so lopsided.
@BEnjamin… NO dude…he said dont move cos we put the medicine in the cut!!…here we go with rumors …anyway, glad Chavez Jr got humbled be a veteran.
I agree with dave the cut man stopped and he said no no no carry on, what a great fight to watch they both showed great courage and the both wanted it so bad well done to both fighter Respect!
@benjamin
no. they said “no no. don’t move. we need to put the medicine in (his cut on his left eye).”
this was a one-sided beat down…martinez decided to stand in the pocket and exchange in the 12th against the bigger opponent and paid the price…but he unanimously beat chavez…i don’t see how a re-match is warranted. he’d win easily again.
Shut the fuk up he
was asking for your mothers #
I wish they had 1 more round. Good Fight
Man wish they still did fifteen round fights!
they said something about the medicine in the water and after he drink the water (im mexican, i speak spanish)
by the way, grease is the only legal “medicine” for cuts, not water with unknown ingredients
did the video get removed says loading but never starts
