Anyone who scored that fight a Draw should be forevermore banned from judging anything, much less MMA. 29-28 Couture was the only reasonable call.

Couture is fun to watch because of his almost flawless form, but he needs to work on the “ugly” side of his fighting technique. He needs to improve his striking a lot and add some more power in general. He could have gone for a neck crank a few times and he could definitely have landed a few bombs.
Maka is a tough dude, though.

This was a great fight. I also think that Couture needs to work on everything stand up is ok, there is no ground and pound at all. I guess his bjj and wrestling is ok because of the take downs and arm triangle attempt ? maybe… ??? Maka has really great bjj. His defense, knowing when its going to happen and how to get out or counter. Has the mindset and heart. I think this would have been Maka’s if his opponent’s last name wasn’t Couture. Just my opinion
