Looks like it grazed his head. Still. Bader is very strong its hits very hard.A hard grazing shot can still knock you down. Plus he followed up with “force” like hammerfist.

When Vinny got knocked down did you see the way his hand awkwardly darted out? His brain was in shock at that moment. No way he could have acted it. Legit knock out for sure. He needs to work on his standup A LOT. Once he does he should be an entertaining fighter to watch. Bader has strength yeah, and against other newbies on TUF he’s ok. I doubt he’ll do much against the other established light heavyweights – a very saturated and talent filled weight class.

Bader didn’t look very confident till he landed that shot.. Vinny should’ve tried harder to take it to the ground but with those gloves its been said over and over any one can get knocked out with one good shot. Well done Bader he got the job done. Vinny is far too good a fighter to let this keep him down.

It’s funny, vin tries to roll out per his BJJ training, and he is too ‘punch drunk’ too…. just falls on his face.

Very good fight strategy for Bader.

Too bad Megalhaes suck, See how he folded after a god punch, typical BJJer. I bet fighters are rea;izing that all these BJJ guys are not good at standing up, one punch can change the whole fight.

Bader still won’t get far in th UFC, but I’m glad he can stick to a plan, maybe it’s the beginning of a good thing for him.

the punch landed. magalhaes tried to roll to grab a leg but was too far because bader didn’t actually pounce on him. then he got smacked by some hammerfists. good finish, good stoppage.

i cant believe vinny didn’t win this. everyone knows vinny is better than bader. bader sucks. hes a wrestler that is strong. he has no jiu jitsu no striking what so ever. it was a grazing shot that did it for bader.
on the other hand, vinny is a world class jiu jitsu artist and uses the rubber guard and his stand improved significantly. i cant believe that

bader did not deserve it. its like brock lesnar vs randy couture. just because brock won doesn’t mean he is better than randy

It’s not like BJJ guys are weak. That is just one individual who happens to be amazing at BJJ. He just hasnt refined his BJJ for MMA. To survive in the UFC you cannot be good at one thing you have to be good at many different things or you will loose.

This fight wasn’t even the main event or co main event. These fighters should not get excited about winning the UFC contract when the UFC doesn’t even respect it! The UFC dumps fighters with multiple fight contracts after one boring loss! They had lightweights who didn’t even make it to the TUF finals fight later on the card then the light heavyweight finalists! WTF!?

That was right on the temple. Vinny’s game plan should have been take down Bader and apply JJ. Trading shots with a heavy striker isn’t a good game plan.
