french people are the nicest people a person could meet, as long as you don’t meet them in France.

Man that’s almost tough to watch thinking about his brain and what after 40 is gonna be like for him and his memory….if there even is God willing. He needs to take his health and his position to be an example to so many more serious, especially his health. The overweight issues just leads to him getting hit more due to being the slower man. He’s not Homer Simpson ffs, or have they done a scan of his brain and maybe there is a layer of cushion around his brain lol.

This is very sad, a man should not make a living on how bad he can get beaten on and survive. He is sure to have brain damage or parkinson soon. He needs to get in shape and change his style or retire and I don’t think he is going to get in shape or change his style.

Watching that video actually worries me… I like Nelson (or at least I used to like him). Lately, a lot of his comments have seemed kinda strange… like he’s trying to make a joke, but it doesn’t quite work. Or he’ll just say something that doesn’t make much sense.

I kinda worry that once he’s in his 50s all those shots are really gonna start manifesting themselves in a bad way.

For the people saying they are worried about his long term health. You are obliviously NOT fighters. In fact most professional athletes don’t think about long term consequences. It simply doesn’t enter their minds until they start to suffer symptoms. Very important to have a good team behind you that has the balls to tell you when your done. Fighters don’t make that decision for themselves.

Really interesting video. You see how much better JDS’ hands are vs. Werdum. JDS throws fast and extremely hard, he must have been really tired. Also you see how JDS took some big overhands from Nelson? He’s got a chin too. Those same overhands knocked everyone else out and put Werdum down. Also I never saw the Stipe fight but everyone complained about it and you can see he wasn’t putting anything behind his punches, no hip movement at all. It also looks like he ran the whole time except when he was punching him and all the running got cut out.

Roy is the reincarnation of Tank Abbot they’re both reeeeeally good bar room brawlers and its fun seeing him knock the s*** out of fighters that train so hard on perfect technique and style. Roy’s form of martial arts is the oldest it’s called Cave Man style LOL

Roy Nelson is a black belt in Brazilian jiu jitsu and a very accomplished grappler. Unlike Tank Abbott Roy is a real martial artist and not just a brawler, he just eshews the ground game for stand up like Leonard Garcia and many others.

Obviously Roy has training in real disciplines of martial arts otherwise the UFC wouldn’t have hired him

If Nelson was in shape he would be able to move around better and be a more effective fighter. I think that without a doubt he would be top contender.

Cormier will add a few more minutes to Roy’s “lowlights” reel. I always hear about Nelson’s great ground game and this and that. All I’ve seen is his occasion devastating right hand, a chin of steel and seriously weak cardio. He either lands a KO punch early or he shows his chin and gets beat by decision. If Nelson was really sincere and diciplined, he’d be a light heavy weight. That gut is a sign of laziness and lack of fitness.

shitty record to have . does show balls of steel and a helluva chin but it wouldve been worth it if those fights were wins
