It looked to me like Rousimar did stop, for a second and then cranked again when the ref didn’t step in. I know that ADCC uses real grapplers as refs but that guy seemed a wee inexperienced.

If you fight you can’t understand what happened. Palhares got the guy in the first try… he don’t speak english so as he heard his oponent scraming in pain he thought it was over… the ref didn’t helped as he didn’t point or declared anything to the fighters. He just said “stop”. If you are a fighter and you end up on that position… your opponent screaming in pain and the ref say only “stop” you would think you won too you… he was only trying to hug the guy and being nice as he tought he submmited his oponent. I’ve seen palhares and his cocky s*** before so it was hard just reading the title cause I already had him pinned as completely wrong here. this man palhares fights dirty, in the UFC, his opponent was literally screaming, and tapping repeatedly, and the ref had to literally pull palhares off of the leg lock, of course the guys knee popped.
