Not a resounding victory by any means but I think the judges made the right call.

GREAT FIGHT. imo, this represents the best TUF Finale fight, blows Forrest/ Bonnor out of the water. much better skill, crisper striking, precise strategy compared to the slop-fest that was the TUF 1 finale fight. both guys we will see in the UFC

A very close fight, with the best two fighters of the season. Not that exiting thou…Pearson´s hands are one of a kind…

common sense, I think you’re lacking what your username implies. That had to be the absolute most boring fight of the night. I really almost went to sleep during the fight. How is two guys clinched up all fight, exciting? Oh and I must break you!

I guess I’ll see what internet warrior keegan has to say about my comment.

I honestly thought this was an amazing fight. Maybe it’s just me, but I’ve never seen such a fast-paced clinch fight. Constantly changing position and throwing blows. I actually would have score this fight a draw or at least give both fighters a contract. I think Winner is going to do alright in this division. His TDD seems top notch and his striking is crisp and fast. Pearson should fight Guida.

Yeah, even though Winner dominated against the fence you could see Pearson wanted to brawl or get the takedown and the judges appreciated that. I think Winner lost that fight due to his negativity

That chit was hella boring.zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. I saw it as neither one wanted to be knocked out , so they clinched the entire fight. Makes for a solid technical fight, but f’n boring as can be

I called it after Ross’s first fight in the show, but I have to give it to Andre. Ross won the fight only because of the last 20 seconds of the third round. It could easily be called a draw.
Ross has a tremendous heart, but Andre is a great technician. Both deserve a contract.

What fight were the judges watching? Winner won hands down, bad call.

Nah, judges nailed this one. Came down to the 3rd rd, and Ross clearly wanted it more/did more and deserved the W.

This fight was very frustrating! Not only was it not very exciting, but neither fighter was able to adapt, and both fighters refused to take any amount of risk, and that wasn’t even the most frustrating aspect; personally, the worst part of the fight was regarding Andre Winner. Here’s a kid who has all the physical tools necessary to beat Ross, but for whatever reason (I would suspect nerves/emotions) failed to display his skills or even come close to performing up to his true potential/ability. With Winner’s explosive hands/technical boxing, excellent takedown defense, and his size, strength, and athleticism, he should have been able to put Ross away with a KO/TKO, as I believe that skill-wise, Winner is on another level. He obviously failed to show that and with everything considered, I’m actually glad that Ross Pearson won the fight! Not only did he deserve it (based on the scorecards and the fact that he came out and gave what he had), but also, I’m hoping that with a loss Andre is able to turn it around and develop into the fighter that he has the ability to be. Sometimes a loss is much more benefical to a fighter and I’m hoping this be the case.

IvanDrago,

I think you’re lacking knowledge of mma. Clinch-work is a perfectly legitimate and technical part of the game. Both fighters showed some excellent dirty boxing, Greco-roman, pummeling and thai-clinch in the fight. Perhaps if you knew a little more you’d be able to appreciate that and not find it boring.
