I’m gonna disagree with Savage. I’m sure that punch hurt, but I think that Drew went into this fight looking to collect a paycheck. He looked strung out right from the door, and took the first chance he got to get out of the fight, go home, and get high. He’s been doing that a lot lately, his last 3 fights all ended in the 1st rd due to strikes. He’s too talented for that to be coincidence….

Those were powerfull strikes.I bet anyone calling Fickett a coward hasn’t even sparred full contact once in their life.What’s more coward a pro fighter getting dropped and probably hurt or an anonymous guy who calls him a coward?You should at least leave your real name so the person can respond.I know pro fighters dont bother with these kind of comments but it would just be funny to see who is the alpha male calling a pro fighter cowards.Maybe he could give us some tips on how to be a real man.

You said it BJ and Chuck can call out pro fighters bitches because they are pro fighters.What makes me mad is somebody who might not even sparred once in his life calling a fighter a coward.What makes you less of a coward then him.
Also I respect Chuck alot but do you really think he’s the best example for fighters who dont want brain damage?If Drew felt he was finish,there is no reason for him to let himself get a concussion.He clearly lost that fight so there’s no point to let yourself get knocked uncounscious.You have only a limited time that you can get knocked out.If he can save himself from having a concussion then i’s good for him,he will be able to train longer and fight longer.He still puts his health on the line to eat,so if he can fight longer and avoid being half a vegetable at the end of his career,i dont know why its so bad.I just want to know what kind of job you have to call this guy a coward.Unless you are a pro fighter whoalso puts his health on the line,you have no right to call this man a coward.

Oh yeah I also forgot BJ quit in his fight against GSP wich is worst then tapping to strikes…Your example isn’t the best.BJ quit because he was dizzy,he didn’t remember the last 2 rounds and he didn’t want brain damage because he clearly lost that fight so that must make his opinion pretty valid…

ur opinion means nothing to me kung fu, u don’t know me, u have no idea wether ive sparred or not before. i dont have to be a pro fighter to comment on one. its a common belief that tapping to strikes isn’t cool and im proud to say i share that opinion. 99% of fighters don’t tap strikes and i think fair to say that it’s looked down upon when fighters do. Fickett shoulda hung in there and fought til the ref stopped it.

and again, in the ultimate fighter when one of the contestants gave up in between rounds chuck said “thats ALMOST as bad as tapping to strikes”. i happen to share that same opinion and nothing u say will change that.
