Great performance by Ronda Rousey, nice (almost) flying arm bar. that was a little early stoppage, this will teach Ronda to don’t let go till the referee pull her off.

That s*** was over… I can understand why she’s upset, but honestly, she was gonna’ loose that elbow in a few seconds. Rousey was in complete control of that arm.

if u notice the arm pops and she lets go of the sub, and then held on to it after the ref didn’t stop the bout, bout should’ve been stopped sooner and there would b no argument.

Tap or no tap, Ronda has some of the quickest transitions in MMA. It was just a matter of time.

Early stopppage, but as most of you are already saying, that arm was gone anyway. This controversy only saved her arm. The first time she locked it in she could have broken it OFF with how tight it was.

Nice transition. She had the arm bar &, a slight adjustment, it would’ve popped the elbow. Good Call!!

seemed like bullshit to me, also if any sort of scream/pained noise equals a verbal tap that sounds like the dumbest thing i’ve ever heard.

refs should be more careful with subs.they have to act quick to save the fighter’s arm or leg but they should totaly ignore the other doing the sub.It happened in a UFC fight with Matt Wiman and somebody else.He yelled he’s out when the guy was ok and the ref stopped it.But like some of yu guys said i dont know if its Ronda’s “trick” because she was talking to the ref the millisecond her leg got over her head.The armabr wasnt even on and she yelled she’s tapping.It just seems odd to mee coming from a Judoka who is supposed to hae grappled all her life she should at leats recongnize a tap.

You can watch again and see that she did indeed let it go. She explained herself, and so did Sarah. regardless as to whether it was a misunderstanding, or an actual verbal tap, some of you guys must have terrible lives to get so worked up over Mazagati.

So here’s a relative new comer to MMA who’s just sealed her 5th consecutive win via an admittedly unclear ref decision/arm bar and all the majority of MMA fans on mmatko have to say is either degrading of the ref or the winning fighter?….I mean what can really be done for you people?

- that’s why you’ve obviously never had any experience in fighting let alone competitive MMA or grappling. How old are you, 10?

As for the ref, his job is to provide a CONTROLLED environment and to where he can REDUCE HARM. Understand that? Sports fighting as opposed to jail fights? Comprende?

And as most of you failed to realize with your limited grasp of anatomy extended to observing your own beer guts the arm was rotated so the technique was extending it SIDE WAYS the way that is even worse than a conventional arm bar……the way your elbow would never fully recover from….get it? Let alone it was perfectly sunk and controlled plus the previous 4 straight arm bar wins all weighing on the refs mind.

So ACTUALLY Mazzagati through his experience and knowledge as a ref saw this in conjunction with Rousey’s input and Sarah’s verbal expression of pain and made a GOOD CALL.

Mazagatti is guilty of creating an awkward moment. Rhonda is also at fault for that, letting go and then demanding the ref to interrupt. I don’t understand how one’s verbal gesture could be considered an automatic “tap” and the other’s is a useful funfact for the ref.
But besides that, Rhonda looks crazy good!… I mean other than those punches, she looks so f-ing scary. Cyborg and her should fight immediately, unless they want to see some Aoki-esque removal of arms tour. It’s time for a big step up in competition.

@Yamommamoto….. It all sounds good, but why would D’Alelio argue to such an extent if she was not indicating a tap out. It seems a bit confusing to this guy who only gets an occasional sore elbow from using my mouse.
