I love people who say that cyborg would murder ronda and how tito says she is p4p the best woman fighter. I know that it’s possible cyborg could defeat ronda anything can happen in a fight but honestly who is the best fighter cyborg has ever beaten? carano? coenen? marloes coenen is probably the best fighter shes ever beat and it took her three rounds to do it. Also coenen got submitted by tate who got destroyed by rousey, not to say this means that ronda would win that fight but on paper it shows who is p4p #1 especially considering cyborg hasn’t fought anyone in over a year.

Here is the deal… Ronda would beat 90% of the males on this site who are under 170 pounds.On the other hand if Machida fought 90% of the males on this site, you guys could just walk away, and Machida would be content just switching his stance repeatedly by himself. She comes to fight, he comes to not get hit.

You are hating a bit. Remember WMMA is in it’s infancy. Remember 15-20 years ago any tough hombre with some decent wrestling and a cool moustache could be a force in MMA.

You’re right Rousey is fighting as a “bigger fish” in a very small pond. That will change if we give the women a chance. A someone will beat her inside of two or three years if she doesn’t continue to adapt.

Rousey, she’s a specialist for sure, but a damn good one and most likely the first Olympic calibre female athlete to transition to the sport. (There were high expectations she could even win gold if she competed again but she burned out while training in Japan.)

She’s good for the sport, and will carry the torch from Carano (who was nowhere near the calibre) and in 10 years there will be not just 10 half decent women, but 100′s of excellent ones competing.

As for Cyborg, she may very well kill Rousey in a match but it’s not something I’m interested in seeing at a catch weight or until she tests clean repeatedly for the next 18 months.

I think if she fights someone her own size she will have her hands full in Invicta.

Anyway, Rousey Carmouche was a hell of a lot better than a whole bunch of other UFC main events.

Just try to enjoy it for what it is.

The fight was disappointing in that Carmouche lost the fight through her own actions. Take nothing away from Rousey but Carmouche:
A. Should have let go of the neck crank once she started losing it.
B. When she hit the ground she should have bounced right up instead of laying on her back waiting for Rousey to fix her bra.
C. In the headlock, Carmouche should have scrambled like her life depended on it instead of just throwing her left leg up over and over.

Carmouche fought a bad fight.
Of course, Rousey had a lot to do with why Carmouche fought so poorly.
