$1500 went to Villefort which means his original purse was $5000. This is pretty ridiculous being he probably had more than that in training expenses. Fighters need a union, I hate to say. This guy puts his livelihood on the line for a couple months rent and is probably lucky to get 3 fights in a year. This is not a way to treat professional fighters on the biggest stage.

i’ll bet rousey took home triple that with the locker room bonus, and that carmouche was given a nice little bonus too

First off, Machida won that fight so people need to stop complaining. Secondly there’s some fighters on there that need to be making more money.

If you guys paid attention you’d realize that those pay roll numbers are only for public view.
The main event fighters get paid alot behind closed door mostly by ppv shares.
For example when Rampage left the UFC recently Dana for the first time disclosed information about how much he earned from 2007-2012 which was 12 million. That’s what he made with the UFC not including anything outside UFC such as his movie roles.
If Rampage made 300k (which is the number shown in the pay roll for the public) a fight starting from his debut in 2007 thats 12 fights in the UFC. Rampage would of made 3.6 million and thats not taking inconsideration that he was probably paid alot less in few first fights.
So goes to show you that behind closed door he made at least (12mill-3.6mil) 8.4 million.
So you guys can stop saying these guys are getting paid dimes. As the years goes by these top fighters are only going to be getting paid more and more.
And we really don’t know how much the mid group level of fighters are getting paid behind closed doors as well but I’m sure if you look at Josh Koscheck he’s living pretty well if you checked out his MTV cribs.

Machida could be much much more deadly if he just had more of an offense. Or in terms of his style, if he had more outburst attacks. I agree, he didn’t do much in this fight except a little in the 3rd round when he thought he was behind. I still give it to Machida though. He has the better chance against JJ.

@rightsaysfred All i know is that Chael made enough money off the last anderson silva fight that he says he doesn’t have to fight anymore. Thats pure ppv and really he deserved it for that one. It was all him for those numbers.

I guess dana is trying to prove a point, But He should really keep all that stuff private. Let people say what they gonna say, Let people think how they wanna think, If you know your paying the fighters good than thats all that matters

everyone seems to forget how much these guys make off sponsorship deals. but yeah, I hope they get a bit extra behind closed doors cos anything less than 20 grand for fighting in front of millions of ppl after months of training seems a little harsh…

UFC fighters get paid less then minimum wage and probably workout 70-80 hours a week.That’s almost a slave’s paycheck.A guy working in Mcdonalds gets around 1000$ a month and he works an easy job that a 12 years old could do and he only works 40 hours a week.It’s just pathetic if you ask me.If a guy is lucky and fights 4 times a year,he’ll have 20k if he’s lucky and doesn’t get injured and wins all his fights.Then you add taxes and you have barely 15k a year to pay you’re training,you’re house and you’re food.They would LOSE money fighting in the UFC if it wasn’t for sponsors…The Douchebag White gets some stupid stats about boxing showing undercard fighters getting paid the same as UFC fighters.But a low level UFC fighter is 1000 times more skilled and twice as ranked as an undercard boxer.Plus boxing doing something doesn’t mean it’s the right thing to do.

Plus the undercard fighters have to fight twice as many times and probably train as hard then top fighter.And they ALL train harder then Rampage…

@shogunna is right, the undisclosed amounts for the PPV’s i usually double if not more than the fight purse, that’s why Rampage made so much money was because he headlined a lot of PPVs. This isn’t even mentioning sponsorships which can be very lucrative.

Carmouche made more that night than her last two years working in that gym.
