I don’t compliment ppl on take downs very often, but the take down by Kenny in Rd.1 was awesome. Drove him across the ring and mashed his face into the post with his shoulder. Kenny was really on point and did a good job of pickin spots and scorin shots. But sadly I don’t see anything that could even be considered a threat to Mr.Penn.

I hate when fighters run away, seems like Kenny back away till Roger got frustrated and got sloppy then Kenny took his shots. Good plan vs a younger fighter. Yeah that was a 30-27..kenflo frustrated Huerta.he kept moving and everytimg they broke he gave Roger a little something something to take away with him. Florian won’t be able to manipulate BJ Penn so easily.. BJ will figure out what Kenflo is doing. Roger never made any adjustments throughout the fight.

Kenny Florian acted like a straight pussy for about 12 min outta 15. He won the fight because he picked him apart, but never hurt Huerta. Hes always saying, “I finish my fights! I finish my fights!” BULLSH*T! At least Huerta was pressing the fight and goin for it. This was supposed to be fight of the year, and Florian ruined it. Congrats on the win, sissy.

Kenny was very gracious even after Huerta basically avoided embracing him after the fight. But who couldn’t predict that Roger would be pissed after losing, considering that he bought his own hype?
Florian continues to grow as a fighter, and I think he definitely took a page out of Lyoto Machida’s book, frustrating Huerta especially in the third round.
I wonder what Huerta is going to say to Dana White/team Fertitta when it’s time to renegotiate his contract? hmmm

Roger is too emotional of a fighter, kflo was in complete control the entire fight. Huerta’s like tito, you beat him the first round and you win the fight. Kenny had a well rounded plan and stuck to it, that’s how you win fights. Great job by kenny, he deserves a shot at BJ.

kenny fought a smart fight, but i think him loudly proclaiming “i finish fights!” was dumb. when machida kept his distance against ortiz it was because of tito’s grappling skills. i don’t think roger had any skill over kenny, and yet kenny was avoiding him.
kenny won but i don’t think anyone is too interested in seeing him lose to penn, not even bj seems to care. it’s not even on his radar.
let’s all email mma weekly and ask kenny why he didn’t finish the fight.

The problem with UFC fans is half of them barely understand the fight game.
It is called fighting on the “outside”, not running away. The big difference between the two is fighting on the outside means you are still throwing punches, but you are staying out of the range of power shots. He still dashed in and let go a few of his own, but then he would return to the outside to minimize his opponents effective attacks.
How the hell can you knock someone for fighting well? What do you want him to do? Walk into his punches, slug with him and have a war? Cut his fight career in half and lose needlessly? People who want that don’t need to watch the UFC, they need to go to a bar and watch a bunch of drunks slag it out.
This is a big boy sport; not some half ass two-bit blood fest for all those too weak to fight themselves to watch. No wonder most the boxing fans think UFC fans are useless idiots who know nothing of the fight game… The problem is, right now the people with the loudest voices are idiots that don’t know shit; they make the REAL fans of the UFC look bad!

I just watched that fight for the second time and was still impressed with Kenny. He landed a diverse array of shots and took Huerta down at least three times. Granted, Huerta did get back to his feet after the takedowns and he escaped TWICE when Kenny had his back. Roger Huerta is a game fighter, for sure!
