I think Rich Franklin as former champ was 1 of the top contenders against silva,I believe he beat Dan Henderson though robbed of it, Wanderlie both times, chuck liddel, Okami,etc…so the que is who’s the #1 contender? Chris Weidman deserves the shot, fact is Rich and GSP won’t be able to fight silva before silva gets matched up finally…Reshad maybe but he’d have to go for take downs for sure, and not be afriad and think he’d be to flat. So sure Weidman or evans but wideman’s already a ready middleweight. Had hector won he’d be up next but weidman’s prob better. hewctoprs good but should be at welterweight and cut some muscle mass…

I respect Ace a lot more now… even though he’s older, more banged up, and not the fighter he used to be, he still aspires to be the best! Just compare that to, say, Forrest Griffin or Rampage.

Rich leave the anderson fight alone. You got destroyed twice… It’s not worth it, ask Dana to create a 195lb weight class (super middleweight) for BJ penn 160lb weight class (super lightweight) and a 140lb weight class for Faber (Super Bantamweight) These guys desperately need this weight class implemented in the UFC or might as well retire

Cung le won’t help and neither did wandy but fighting and beating Bisbing,Stann,boestch,wiedman,munoz,lombard, Sonnen,belcher or rematching belfort will.
Plenty to choose from and I for one think ace deserves it if he can beat two to three of those guys in a row. Will he beat Silva prob not. Ace has always been a top middleweight is he still we’ll see
