wish there was one more round ;p
Stout totally won that fight!
Wow, sounds like Kenny Florian was pushing for Stout the whole fight. Stout clearly didn’t win. He was busy, but most of his punches were blocked by Clementi.
very close call. they both need to work on their game but nice skilled fight
Tough fight to score as a judge!! Clementi dominated the first round, but Stout seemed to get the better of the stand-up exchanges in rounds 2 & 3. Clementi landed some good counter shots and had many more takedowns overall in the fight. This was as close to a draw as I have seen. I would have loved to see an extra round in this one. I’m not sure that Stout deserved a loss here.
Tough fight to call, both looked really good with their stand-up, Clementi just got some more takedowns. Should have been a draw. Excellent fight.
Stout beat him down! he had clementi hurt at the end of the last round and should of pounced, just goes to show it sucks when it’s up to the judges. sam you won man, clearly!
Yeah that was BS Stout totally won that fight
Clementi would have been out if there had been another minute
They should use the PrideFC style of judging it was way better
i felt stout had the second and third clearly..
Stout didnt beat him down.. and if you had absoultely any idea how they score the fight you would see that it was close or a draw but Stout DEFINATELY didnt win that fight.. Clementi was stronger that much was obvious.. got more takedowns… granted Stout got out of everything and stood back up.. and he did get the better of the stand up most of round 3.. I dunno about 2… i’d say Stout won 3rd for sure, Clementi won 1st for sure.. but the second round is the one im stuck on judging……. good fight all around
Yeah, Florian was definitely a bit biased towards Stout on this one. Maybe he was playing to the crowd or something.
Stout was getting good combos off but he only got through very rarely. Clementi was throwing good counterpunches, fewer punches than Stout but more effective and damaging. Clementi definitely got the better of the ground game too. The most skillful thing Stout did there was escape – he didn’t do any damage to Clementi or pose any submission threat at all.
no doubt sam won that fight rich got him down and sam got right back up and pounded on him the last 2 rounds
clsoe fight i though rich won rounds 1 and 2, sam was definetly busier in round 2, but rich was connecting just as much and he got the takedown in the beginning and landed some shots.
regardless, great fight, both have awesome chins, pretty bummed that nate quarry vs kalib starnes was shown over this both of these guys deserve the exposure
Stout didn’t do anything to put Rich in danger in the first two rounds and it’s hard to give rounds to the person backing up. 3rd round I think Stout needed a knockout.
stout should have taken rich down and work his ground game. c’mon, its not hard to do and he would have won.
Geez…not happy with the decision…oh well Stout took it like a champ.
Stout took the third round. Good fight
wow kenny is a very good commentator. you would thought that he’ll be just a back up, it sounds like retarded goldberg is the back up. impressive kenny
It’s been a long time since I’ve seen a fight go to decision and I couldn’t fault the judges either way. Personally I would have called the match for Stout but then again, I’m a Canuck. =)
Great match.
29-27 thats a joke! it could of gone either way, very good fight, wish there woulda been one more round!
I agreed with the first judge. That was a 29-27 fight. 10-8 first round for Clementi. Stout’s late takedown in the second stole an even round. And Clementi’s takedown in the third stole an even round. Even standing, Stout had the better combinations but Clementi was landing the more significant shots. And that matters.
rematch tuff fight to call
Ok im sorry but I live In London Ontario and Sam Stout is one of my fav fighters but he clearly lost the fight, was close but any real judge shouldn’t have a problem judging the fight
put one more round though and im sure stout would have walked away victorious
UFC judges really need to implement the “going for the finish” clause like they do in K1. Stout was clearly throwing more leather and taking more chances in the last round (the most important when judging a close fight). oh well
That fight was a great display of Martial Arts, From Clementi confident swagger game, SamStout kicking combos are crucial. But all and all that was a draw. CLementi won the 1st and half of the second, and Stout won the second half of the 2nd and won the 3rd. MUch luv for the vids.Keep um coming.
um so why wasn’t this FOTN?
Back and forth, both guys definitely left their hearts in the octagon….great showmanship of warriors….
Feel sorry for Stout, can’t quite keep a winning streak.
Clementi is kind of downgrading, fighting Etim next after beating Stout, Johnson, and Guillard…was hoping to see him fight Diaz or even Danzig…
nah it was a good decision sam threw more but he missed, he was throwing left crosses and right upercuts when rich was like 3 feet out of range, rich hit him many times with that left hand so i think it should have been unamious
Though I believe Stout has a better stand up game, this night, Clementi clearly won the stand up even if not very clean and sharp punches( kicks ), he actually landed about 2:1 where as Stout threw more they missed or were blocked ect and obviously the Clmente won the ground game although Stout did a great job getting up but only to get beat on his feet.
How every Stout did seem to be getting the better at the vary end and quite possibly would have won with another round, there wasnt another round so its just speculation. Great call by the judges(unlike most boxing matches)
Wicked fight!!
I wanted to see sam take that one but whatever he will be back.
Clementi won this fight, close but he won
Florian was pulling for stout because it makes him look better because florian beat him. Standup was equal, 3 round stout did better but clementi had 2 successful takedowns
Clementi round 1
stout round 2
Clementi round 3
Great fight. Clementi won a close one here, I believe. Did more damage overall. Plus, I wish Florian would shut the eff up.
Rich Clementi won the whole thing.
He got mount position twice. he had takedown efectiveness of more than 80%. He olso enganged in the stand up war and also delivered.
He won , dont cry over a fair desision pussys.
I don’t know who runs this site, but thank you for all the great vids. Long live MMATKO!!!
i gave the first 2 rounds to clementi, but would have been ok with a draw, too.
but give stout another round or 2, and i think he would have finished rich.
Clementi won the first two rounds but if there was a 4th and 5th stout would have won it. Rich was starting to fade while Stout looked strong in the 3rd.
deffo think stout won that
round 1 Clementi even never did anything with the mouny
round 2 stout: threw more punches plus the takedown
round 3 all stout great combo’s
I am Canadian and I used to hate stout but now i respect him a lot he always show up for a war
Clementi is fighting again at ufc 84 what a warrior .. war ” no love”
Round 1 10-8 Clementi: he dominated Stout by getting his back nearly choking him out and getting mount a bunch of times nearly the entire round.
Round 2 10-9 Clementi: real close round, but Clementi had more effective striking and was the aggressor moving forward and going for takedowns also. Stout is throwing too many ineffective strikes that Clementi is just blocking and slipping.
Round 3 10-9 Stout: Stout’s striking and combos finally find their mark but a little too late, but good show of effective striking.
This fight showed why experience and a well-rounded game is a valuable asset. Clementi had great timing with strikes, counters, and takedowns. I think Stout should focus more on KO power than throwing 4-5 combos. When he caught Clementi with some good shots they weren’t enough too daze him and get him in serious trouble.
