This is the Fight video of Rich Clementi and Melvin Guillard at UFC 79 Nemesis.

A very quick fight between two fighters with almost 100 MMA fights between them.

HA ha… I love it when guys that run their mouth get beat. And I love it even more when the guy that kicks his ass taunts him. “He who laughs last laughs best”…. Clementi was certainly laughing, and making every one else laugh along with him too. Good win for Clementi. As for the GSP fight… it was a great show of talent… a must see… not a classic, but for sure a must see.

I think Clementi looked terrific in this fight. He looks to be in the best shape I’ve seen him in and he’s very calm and experienced. As long as he’s in shape, I think he’s a threat to beat anyone. Totally outclassed Guillard here.

They both hate each other, have for years. It was kinda fun to watch them both say how bad they hate the other guy before the fight. I like to see the anger in a fight. Its more exciting to watch.

Apparantly there has been a lot of ‘bad blood’ between these individuals for a while now. Clementi out-classed his opponent in this fight in terms of his fighting ability, but following his actions post-fight, he demonstrated that he is one un-classy individual.

When Guillard entered the octagon before the fight was started, he walked up to Clementi and flipped him off before he was push back into his corner. Guillard also made comments post fight about how Clementi is a pussy and he can’t believe that Clementi actually found the guts to step into the octagon with a fighter of “his caliber”. Once the fight was over, Clementi simply did a “Suck-it” type gesture and Guillard got all pissed off (because thats how must retarded hot heads are, can take but definatly not recieve). He was simply refrained from a violent action taking place while Clementi turned around and gave him a sarcastic wave like “buh-bye”. On the microphone after the fight clementi simply said things such as “Perhaps Guillard needs to go study some Jui-jit su” (Sorry I butchered the spelling). Just a breif overview of the drama.

I was there and melvin walked into the octagon straight over to clementi and flipped him off right before the fight, that and some bad blood between these two probed clementi to taunt melvin after the fight. got what he deserved if you ask me.

Melvin had it coming. I was at Mandalay Events Center for this. As soon as Melvin came in the octagon he flipped Rich off. During the pre-fight interview, Melvin said he wanted to end Rich’s career. The shit talking Melvin got what he deserved.

This was classic case of a steaming bowl of STFU. The tiny bit of respect I had for Melvin immediately disappeared forever after he gave Rich the double bird before the fight and mouthed the words “FU” before being pushed back to his corner. Immediately after the fight Joe Rogan asked rich “There was alot of bad blood before this fight, this must be a very satisfying victory”. Rich’s exact words were “He obviously still hasn’t learned his lesson. Look at him. Get the hell outta here, man!” Melvin tried to look tough and bum rush him again and was led out of the ring. Rich followed up with “There’s nothing worse than somebody that talks SHIT and can’t back it up.” And he’s right. End of story.

Guillard needs to learn some humility. He says he’s going to end Clementi’s career. He gets subbed in the first round. He says he’s going to do this and that to Joe Stevenson. He gets subbed in 30 seconds. Sure, Clementi could’ve been classier, but Guillard should say something like “I just want to bury this. I apologize. The better man won this fight.” But you can’t talk shit AFTER you just got whooped.

i trained with both melvin and rich. We all trained together for a while at anconas gym in new orleans. rich is a gamed fighter with a ton of heart and wealth of experience. Melvin is very explosive and dynamic as long as the fight is going his way. But, truth be told melvin has no heart, no ground game and doesn’t like to get hit. he’s not even from new orleans, he’s from the suberbs in metaire. Rich is a guy who started the game at 300 pounds and now he fights lightweight. That should show his work ethic. Melvin has all the tools, but lacks the heart and desire; which is what makes a true champion
