I appreciate you showing this video. This is the difference between the Gracie way and all others. Rener is the best instructor ever. Sure, many have said that about their instructors, but he teaches the disabled, kids, and all others. I challenge the haters on here to find anyone else like this man. I am proud of what he has become.

I lived very close to the Gracie Academy for a good amount of time. I never asked him, but I knew he was up to something. It turned out to be Bully Proof, Gracie Academy, and all of the amazing things that he is doing now.

I am not here to defend myself. You simply don’t know until you learn from someone like Rener. He was the first person I rolled with, and he is amazing at making you feel welcome. Go to the Gracie Academy and you might learn this yourself. This is why I am so critical of others, because I learned from the greatest (his father and the 3rd generation).

In my last post, others challenge me to visit Eddie Bravo’s gym. I have no interest. I challenge you to go to the source of jiu-jitsu in Torrance, Ca. No money to check it out. You might learn something about the game of BJJ and the people who brought it to the world.

GetSome, thanks for helping us put to rest those outrageous claims you made about a well respected jiujitsu practitioner in Eddie Bravo. You have confessed your blatant bias towards anything non-gracie. Open up your mind and be more like Rener if you truly admire him, he praises Eddie all the time for the effort he puts in.

BTW I believe Rener is a much better teacher than Eddie, especially for beginners. I prefer his methods over anybody, but there’s still an issue of respect being given to an individual who gives his all to something he loves and has a passion for. It doesn’t matter how he looks or whether or not he smokes pot, it’s about being a good person, which I believe he is.

I am not taking anything back and I didn’t make any claims. I gave an opinion. See my other post on the Bravo thread for more opinions.

And I will say this again. My accurate opinions of him are nothing compared to the baseless accusations and lies towards the first family of BJJ. That is a fact. Take your medicine when someone fires back at someone you respect.

Thank you for acknowledging who is the superior instructor. Don’t stop there because the skill level is also much better. Bravo, just like all the others, would be schooled by the 3rd generation. Fine, Bravo is a good guy (if you exclude all of this pathetic videos acting like a clown), I might give you that.

Take a trip to California and see it for yourself. Until then, you have no clue.

I respect your opinion and I think this video shows Rener is an excellent teacher and an exceptional human being, but that doesn’t mean Eddie Bravo isn’t one either. Let’s just forget all this bs, ohkay?
