Terrible mistake by Tito ~ should’ve never started the fight chasing after a quicker Rashad…same mistake Rampage made…Rashad is a lot more vulnerable when he begins to attack, unless the other fighter is really accurate and has impeccable timing (ala, machida)…if rashad fights jones, i can see him winning

If it was illegal you would think the ref and the commentators would have done/said something about it. The knee put Tito away, so the Tito fans are going to have to accept it.
Its only illegal if kneeing to the head. Knee to the body while opponent on ground is legal.

I did not like the look of the knee but it was ok in my book after replay. Tito should have got up, if he could have, but he was trapped. That was a tough one. Rashad looked pretty good the whole way.

I don’t think that Tito looked “dated” in this fight. He almost scored a guillotine and made a great attempt at a leg lock. He came out strong but was intimidated after being dominated by Evans in the first round.

People need to not post about a rule violation when they don’t know the rules; THAT WAS NOT AN ILLEGAL KNEE!!! Rashad was very careful to not throw a KNEE to the head even though he was preparing to do so since Tito looked like he was about to stand up, so Rashad threw a devastating knee to the body instead; beautiful’ knees like that break ribs.

The fight went exactly as expected. So did Tito’s lame ass excuse. Too bad Tito was too much of a bitch to hang in there a while, I enjoyed watching him get his ass kicked. Was I the only one expecting him to tap to strikes…. again?

After all said and done, I don’t think it was any surprise. It would have been really fun to see big-mouth get a shot at the title, but Joe Silva will give him a good fight for him to retire with a victory.
Tito did look good for a second and he Rashad looked a bit tentative (ring rust probably) in the beginning, but as soon as Rashad started striking, Tito went right back to his old dumb defense mode without throwing anything back. Tito never learned how to counterstrike properly.

Rashad looked absolutely fantastic (considering he’s been sidelined for 14 months)!!! He dominated Tito on the ground and beat him in his own game… That’s ground and pound 101. Very impressive performance by Rashad and very effective too.

@mysryluvscmapny Tito may be out of his prime and his career may be winding down but Rashad was out for 14 months. His timing was supposed to be off (but it wasn’t). Tito is actually 20lbs heavier and 2-3 inches taller. His takedown attempt was semi-shaken off in the first round but Rashad’s gorilla slam was beautiful. Tito didn’t get off his knees NOT because he didn’t know how to defend but because he thought it would be smart to avoid getting kneed in the head. Rashad’s intention was to knee him in the head but he stopped and then kneed him in the mid chest. That makes Rashad faster, smarter, more skilled. The only thing Tito had on him was strength and Rashad nullified that. His striking was better and even his submission defense was on point. I like them both but let’s be honest. Rashad was the man on fight night
