Log in to Reply Mike44 April 23, 2012 you fought a good fight Shad. you took his best shots and didnt get finished. I guess Jon Jones cant say you have a glass jaw no more haha Log in to Reply glassjoe April 23, 2012 If there is a rematch it will be a much better fight. I think both of them were feeling the nerves and neither one of them really pushed it. Log in to Reply cgbloke April 23, 2012 Fought a good fight? Did you watch anything past round 1? He was either suffering some ring rust for being away too long or his conditioning wasn’t up to what it usually was. His attack sucked and when he had an opening he didn’t press to take advantage of it. The one takedown they mention in this interview was actually Jones pulling guard. Terrible fight for Rashad. Never one of my favorites but usually respected him as a fighter. Saturday he fought not to get submitted or get beat up. Log in to Reply steeltown April 23, 2012 I hate this broad!! I never liked her!!! She does not kiss ass, she kisses cock all day every day. Another thing, why the **** does fox sports play the nfl theme song in ufc?? There’s no harmony between mma and that song. lol For the love of god please change it to something that suites better for my favourite sport. Log in to Reply vinz April 23, 2012 Respect 4 Rashad… well done, but no luck at all… plz, is anybody out there who can knock JBJ out…PLEAZE! Log in to Reply Biggle April 23, 2012 @steeltown Its not the NFL music. Its the Fox Sports music. They use it for all of their sports telecasts. You just associate with NFL cuz thats where you’re used to hearing it. IF they gave UFC their own music then they would be the only sport on Fox to have their own and every other sport would still be sharing the same old theme. Thats not going to happen. Log in to Reply Mr. Obvious April 23, 2012 @steeltown – I’m not sure how many times it has to be pointed out, but…..it’s not the NFL theme song. It’s the music that Fox plays for EVERY sport they broadcast. Races, MLB, NFL, UFC, you name it. Log in to Reply Gwizardry April 23, 2012 Damn, Rashad- I hate seeing him like this man. Ever since Jon showed up at Jackson’s camp, Rashad new his career at this weight was in jeopardy. That’s why he tried to make the “No-fight-pact” because he knew what was up! Rashad is totally jealous of Jon, how could he not be. Log in to Reply Shabadoosh April 23, 2012 Jones was the only one who got rocked in that boring ass fight. I’ve seen better lay’n’pray fights. And yo, they play that song during baseball and nascar too, it’s the FOX Sports song. Maybe one day when you start your own multi-billion dollar network, you can have some clout to maybe choose a more appropriate song for our ears… but if it’s rap or butt rock metal, I will F^cking Kill YOU! Log in to Reply mmaexcite April 23, 2012 I’d feed shogun to him or machida again. LOL, I just <3 watching his fight with Machida. Log in to Reply ThatDude April 23, 2012 Its all good Rashad.. U went 5 rounds, didnt have a glass jaw, and probly landed more punches on Jon then anybody else has… If u fought like u did in the 1st round though out the whole fight, then You would have won. Next time try to execute the Gamplane Log in to Reply nesky818 April 23, 2012 It’s not the NFL theme song. It’s a fox song. Log in to Reply Oswald Cobblepot April 23, 2012 Rashad looked good. Still a top three contender. Log in to Reply REEMDAMACHINE April 23, 2012 SHAD LOST PERIOD, GOT HIS ASS WHOOPED. I’m amazed at you lame ass spinners, um yeah rashad went the distance, blah blah blah. Give me freaking break.. Go watch the video again.. WARRRRRRRRRRRRR JONES!!! Log in to Reply mscash April 23, 2012 Rashad looked good? Rashad fought a good fight? Jon Jones asked Rashad what he would have after he lost. Ok, to make a long argument shorter, I agree. Rashad looked good and he fought the good fight. @Coldshot — How many former champs in a row do you need Jones to beat? Outclass? Dismantle? Hey, hold tight, you can describe how Dan Henderson is Jones next big challenge. A much younger Rashad out of the Blackzillians, a teacher, educated by pupil , loser is less threat than the new Dan Henderson threat? I’m an MMA fan, but this next supposed threat fight for Jones is more Vince McMahon than any part of reality. It reminds me of how GSP has introduced his next opponent as the biggest threat yet … type of blah, blah, blah, bull shit. Log in to Reply AussieMMA April 23, 2012 At least they can stop pretending to hate each other now! Both Evans and Jones have just worked out how to make serious coin in this sport! That’s to create a sham rivalry! Believe me when i tell you their actually good friends! Log in to Reply mmasauce April 23, 2012 He was in a fight? Log in to Reply Arod April 23, 2012 Rashad look gas due to Jones be stronger then he used to be you can tell by his muscle mass when he entered the cage compared to past fight, and good for rashad jones has been making people look silly and to go the distance when everyone said Rashad would get out of the 3 is a good mile stone but no victory, Rashad needs that high altitude training for his cardio it showed in the 4 and 5 round Log in to Reply FedorFailsAgain April 23, 2012 Jon Jones vs Rashad was some black on black crime! I think Jones should fight Overroids after he stops cheating and drops the PEDS use and shrinks back to his normal body mass that he entered Pride fighting with. Make it happen Uncle Dana! Log in to Reply mu0mu0mu April 23, 2012 props to rashad for staying positive and to jones for being as good as he is. I do think that Jones is starting to lose the air of immortality. Machida hit him a bit, and Evans did too, and now everyone recognizes the he has moments when he is vulnerable to attack like anyone. Catching him wont be easy, but its doable. Log in to Reply drewblood April 23, 2012 He shows a lot of professionalism and composure after getting thoroughly beaten… have to respect that. Log in to Reply Texas671 April 23, 2012 I told yall Rashad bandwagon riders that he’d lose…Jones is the BEST Log in to Reply Texas671 April 23, 2012 No props to Rashad! He kept running his mouth about beating Jones in sparring and how he will be champ again…LOL..LOSER Log in to Reply bob April 23, 2012 Jon Jones = super tall dude whose head is up so high in the clouds making it impossible to hit, while his arms are so long that he can outpoint you easily. If Jones was 5 inches shorter, he would be knocked out by dozens of fighters; his fighting skills are only at the B/B+ level. He’s not bad, and he’s not great. The height/length + some ok/good fighting skills made him champion. Sick of Jones already – the sport will suffer. Log in to Reply Op_of_faith April 24, 2012 Unlike people here, Rashad put HIMSELF at risk. Unlike people here, Rashad is professional in his loss. Respect. Log in to Reply Robbie April 24, 2012 Hendo will knock his head out of those clouds. He’s slain giants before. Jones will be another notch in his belt. Log in to Reply The Llama April 24, 2012 Rashad looked tiny in there..Not sayin he’s not a top LHW but would love to see him drop to 185 and challenge A. Silva. Log in to Reply The Llama April 24, 2012 Also @ bob…STFU. Outpoint really he has put away everyone in front of him( except Rashad). Yeah he is freaky big and uses it but if he has no skill why can’t fighters with those skills get around his reach.. Log in to Reply mmafan400 April 24, 2012 @bob people have to stop saying this, if he was shorter, he wouldn’t have the same style. As in every martial art you adapt to YOUR body type.
