Jon is right. The negative vibe in the room was not coming from him. It was coming from Rashad. It seems as if Rashad is more interested in seeing Jon fall than actually winning the fight. Rashad does not like Rampage. However, in the Jones-Rampage fight he was rooting for Rampage… That right there says a lot. Jealousy is a bitch… Jon admits he’s not perfect, but then again who is ? He admits he’s just a 24 year old kid trying to deal with all the fame, money and publicity brought on to him so suddenly. He speaks from his heart, unlike Rashad. I Lovem Both !!! And on the Night of the fight I wish more than anything that they shake hands and hug and all that.. If they would have sat there and got along in this meeting I would not have watched it… I neeed Hype Damnit it makes for a great fight.. Jones doesn’t think he is the next messiah neither he is full of himself. He is just trying hard to make that difference in this world. Its easy to go with the current but not against the current. I remember when I tried to be that positive image for this world that everybody will judge me, laugh at me, make fun of me, try to make me feel less just because we didn’t share the same arrogance and cockyness in our way of speaking and acting. I lost all my friends, basically and I’m by myself as probably Jones feels sometimes when the world judge him. Jones is alright he just gotta endure it and a better future will lie ahead. Jon “bones” jones had the greatest year of any fighter in mma history! he has every right to be as cocky as he wants until/if someone can knock him off his pedestal! A lot of people said he was too young, not ready for a title shot last year. He won easily and smashed all who tried to take his belt from him. All that being said, I’m a HUGE Rashad fan, but wouldn`t put a cent down on him to win! At 185 he`s my hero!

I wouldn’t be surprised in the least if we see here, the whole leaving the jackson camp, all of this as something that has been concocted by evans, jones, jackson,etc as a means to build this event to a fever pitch. I wouldn’t be shocked if Jon and Rashad regularly talk and whole ‘feud’ is staged.
I’m not implying that the actually fight is fake in the least but I doubt little if any of what we see is a legit between these 2. This is a prime example of going wwe, take 2 people who are close, have one of the 2 take the other’s title shot and betray them .Verbally spar for months and months on end, build the antiipation and drama to a fever pitch. Go head to head and with all that build up which means high viewership and ppv buys = alot of $ for both.

I don’t know what to think of Rashad. I got to meet him in Atl. at UFC 88 at an afterparty and he was real cool and seemed down-to-earth and took pictures with everyone. Jones IS kind of a douche. But being the best fighter in MMA at the age of 24 it would be hard to be entirely humble. So while I dislike his fake douchiness, I can appreciate that he’s trying to show a positive and humble image.
Unfortunately, saying things like “Yea I drive a 2012 Bentley, but I want to provide more for my family”, and randomly adding “I have a picture with my foot in Rampage’s mouth, but I don’t put it up” are a good indication of who he really is.

Jones never talks crap he’s a student that learns from his wins. Jones is who he is. When Ali said he was the greatest many people hated him and couldn’t wait to see him loose. Rashad is another great fighter but he is clearly jealous of Jones for several reasons. Rashad was the champ at Jacksons and may feel he mentored Jones. Jones is now champ and Jackson chooses Jones over him. Jones has yet to be koed. Perhaps Rashad would change his attitude towards Jones if Machida knocked him out but till then he hates him. Rashad is right about one thing, Jones WILL lose eventually. I don’t think he believes he’ll be the one to do it, but Jones is just a mystery right now. Someone will figure him out, LHW is highly competitive and it’s only a matter of time.
Now, Jones was full of it when he said he doesn’t have the riches, maybe at one point his was poor and destitute, just not anymore. Wow this is simply amazing! I can’t believe how many people hate on Jones, it’s really sad because it seems like jealousy to me.
The kid is not a fake, it’s just very obvious that he’s inexperienced and awkward in expressing himself. He has loads of talent and is extremely confident in his own abilities, absolutely nothing wrong with him saying he’s shooting for the stars in my books.
Rashad is setting him up constantly and his inexperience shows. Less than 2 years ago this kid was completely unknown and now he’s thrust into a spotlight.
I wish at 24 years old I could afford a Bentley, he says he wants to get all of that for his family and more, what’s the problem here guys?
I wish the guy well, I think he’s a genuine good guy and he’ll be liked more as he gains more experience public speaking.
