His sister got kidnapped and killed in Rio later on just to make things worse.

Amazing fighter he made people who didnt know anything about Vale tudo in Brazil realize that Brazilians could box etc.

Fun fighter to watch, lots of respect to him.

Love the old days. Looking back I reckon this was one of the first true “future” MMA bouts, set the tone for what was to come. Both had skills way before their time. Great fight from two legends.

Agree with the knees and proper ref stoppages too..

back in the good old days when stoppages were fair and fights were finished properly, that would have been stopped on the feet with the bullshit reffing going on these days. nice fight
