Marty hit everything right on the head… the head butt was a result of a LEGAL move which is slamming someone.. it coulda been something of gonzagas that made the contact.. its arguable but the result is the result for a reason.. if everyone felt that it wasnt fair as these idiots are sayin.. then they woulda dont somethin about it dont ya think? RESPECT the dicision.. its not YOUR or MY company.. were just spectators…. regardless of how we feel we dont make the rules.. so shut up and watch or dont and f off LOL

A few people keep mentioning how the fight would have gone differently if gonzaga didn’t have a broken nose. I don’t get this statement. Couture BROKE the nose either with the left hand or because he slammed gonzaga to the mat. Yes if it was the head it was INCIDENTAL not ILLEGAL two different things. Either way its not like couture had an advantage or something because Gonzaga came INTO the fight with a broken nose, Couture broke it for him. The only advantage Randy had was that he’s a much smarter, versatile, well conditioned and experienced fighter.

Randy couure never fails to amaze me when he fights,he won that fight fair and square,and it wasn’t luck,it wasn’t gonzagas broken nose,hey shit happens in a fight, better be prepared for the unexpected,especialy when randy is trying to pound you to a bloody pulp……..RANDY COUTURE is a true champion for life .

if i was couture i would retire on top of my game. he shouldn’t fight fedor. even if he really wants to fight fedor, he has to wait 2 years for his contract with the UFC to expire. fuck dana white and his goddamn politics.

he’ll be 45 years old by then. not to say he won’t be in good shape, but he might be. i don’t know. it could go either way.

the fight would probably be a split decision amyway, i reckon. even if it did ever manage to happen.

Man i think this fight was some BS gonzaga broke his nose due to an ILLEGAL head butt though it wasn’t on purpose it definitly dictated this fight, Gonzaga wasn’t even close to gassing out before his nose broke. IT should have been a no contest if Gonzaga couldn’t keep on going not a f*cking TKO

Hell of a fight, both men stood there and gave it all they had. Gonzaga had a bum bit of luck with the nose, but he stayed in it ’til Herb felt he couldn’t defend himself, so kudos to him. There’s really not much more you can say about Randy…the man is a legend and a class-act.

people say, hey couture mainly won because gonzagas nose was broken badly and couldnt continue..but what about couture? incase people didnt know, couture broke his arm while he blocked one of the high kicks, and still FINISHED the fight!
