Randy Couture And Fedor Affliction Photo Shoot

Randy Couture and Fedor Emelianenko got together for a photo shoot to help promote Couture’s Affliction clothing line. Emelianenko now has his own Affliction shirt, shorts , jacket and more soon to be sold in the U.S.

It is hoped that the two can get something worked out for a future fight between the heavyweight champs. Fedor continues to say that they will fight in the near future. It looks like it’s going to come down to if Couture comes out on top of the Zuffa law suit or not. If the suit is worked out quickly we may yet get the fight everyone wants to see.

I have all the respect in the world for Randy Couture. But I’m sorry, I don’t see him beating Fedor in a million years.
It is interesting to think about how the UFC would have painted that fight. The ol’ Captain America vs The Unbeatable Russian. We all know how that story ends. With it becoming more and more apparent that judges decisions are being…uh…encouraged, it’s no wonder Fedor wanted nothing to do with the UFC. I don’t mean to sound like a conspiracy theorist, but think about it for a second. Fedor is a very respectable person as well, but I want to see someone slay the giant. Crop Cop two fights with the UFC lets break them down

Gonzaga: This was the 2nd biggest upset of 07 IMO (1st being GSP losing to Matt) no one saw this coming and if you have watched a Cro Cop fight you would know he wasnt fighting like he usually does there was no counter punching or that pushing aggressive style persnally I believe UFC hyped his KO kicks thus he wanted to deliver

Kongo: If you watch this fight you know that Kongo low blowed Cro Cop not once but 3 times in a row. Watch the video Kongo knees cro cop who looks at the ref only to get another knee and just as the ref break them apart he gets another knee. Kongo’s background is in Muay Thai thus these knees are top notch and 3 consecutive knees would be killer to deal with let alone move around effectively.

We shall see how Cro Cop does in his next match

IMO its the curse he always loses whenever he gets close to the title (Randleman and Nogueira)

UFC rules are so different then Pride.
A good fighter will take a chance and better themselves by making changes in becoming better fighters. Is true that money is been an obstacle for both fighters to meet but given the circumstances they both have done well. Fedor has not yet lost a fight in pride and he has fought big name fighters from all over the world, the same goes for Randy but he has lost few fights this means he has few things to improve. This fight will be interesting but I would prefer to see this fight outside of the cage and see how well he will do.
Fedor comes first in my books

Oh and also another thing. RC beat tons of people and he destroyed and completely dominated tim sylvia and also gabriel gonzaga. He beat tim sylvia after coming out of retirement. I mean cmon he faced an actual good opponent that was tall and strong. Fedor comes back and almost looses to some giant freak with no skills at all. That giant freak just won 1 match again a nobody and gets to fight fedor. On that fight fedor got rocked many times and since the freak had no skills at all he got submitted. I can’t wait to see fedor go against someone with actual skills and strength and strategy. Don’t get me wrong, i know fedor is a beast but please don’t try and downsize couture. Give him some respect because he is a top HW contender and probably #2 top HW in the world. If they fight i am pretty sure someone will get submitted or knocked out. I just hope it happens.

I respect Randy but when you think about his skills and Fedors skills its hard to picture Randy winning the fight. Randy usualy wins his fights by just outwrestling and outlasting his opponents but he never really lands any devistating strikes and hes never faced the likes of Fedor. If Randy can take Fedor to the ground I see no chance of him being able to submit Fedor, he will probably be able to land a few strikes when hes on top but fedor has the best armbar from guard out of all the heavyweights. The only way I see randy winning is from strikes and lets face it fedor has been in there with better strikers then randy.

I like them both a lot, I look up to both of them and for sure this would be one hell of a fight, most anticipated mma match of all time

It seems that the UFC treats their fighters unfairly if the fighters try to stand up for themselves in the organization. Especially the superstars like Ortiz or Couture. It’s as if the UFC says “our way or the highway.” Especially since they sacrificed so much for the sport. They should be given more freedom to do what they want, contractarily speaking. Guys like this make the company so much money that they deserve more professional freedom. I hope that one day stars like couture will be given more respect from management. Hey, I’m a big Randy fan. I love both fighters, if they do fight, it will be very close. Randy is a bit old, so I guess thats his only disadvantage. While Fedor is probably the most well rounded HW in the world. Someone is going to get knocked out no later than 2nd round.

All i have to say is that Fedor Emilianenko is not scared one bit of the fighters in the UFC. In an interview he straight up said that he wants a challengs and that the UFC is all Americans, he wants all the best fighters from the world not the so-called best “Randy Couture” my nuts he has no chance whatsoever with Fedor. And if you were to put Hong Man Choi vs. Tim Syvlia I would put a shit load of money that hong man choi will whip his ass.

Those of you claiming Randy Couture has more “experience” or “skill” than Fedor have obviously never seen Fedor fight. He’s got way more fights than Randy. It took Fedor 36 seconds to destroy a healthy Tim Sylvia. Couture hung on to win a close decision in 5-rounds against an INJURED Tim Sylvia. When Couture had Sylvia hurt, he couldn’t finish him- Fedor destroyed him in seconds.

Not only will Fedor beat Couture, it won’t even be all that close…

Fedor IS a warrior, he does not need to run his mouth and stare people down or give the same chimpish grin to his opponents that couture gave liddell before he got knocked the f out. I truly admire Fedor and it is a pleasure to watch him solve the problem in front of him as he faces each opponent.
