When I first saw it, I thought Rampage dodged a nice punch and threw a hook. Now it just looks like he ate a bunch and through a wild left hand that somehow caught wanderlei.

HAHAHA! I loved the outcome of this fight. Honestly, it would have been fine either way. I really like both guys. I’m not a typical American fan that only likes someone when they win. I like a good show no matter what!

I like rampage… but clearly after Silva was KO and on the ground, the ref got his arms around rampage’s waist… he still landed 2 extra cheap punches.

The 2nd and 3rd punches didn’t really land much. Wanderlei looked fine in an interview a few hours after. Rampage has great power.

unnecessary shots definitely, but if you’ve seen Rampage get beat down by Wanderlei in the past it’s not so bad anymore.

Wanderlei was the one throwing wild punches, Rampage moved with Wanderleis rhythm perfect with his blocks and head movement. He saw an opportunity for one aimed shot and took it. Rampage is much better than I used to think.

I like Rampage, he’s a character. I don’t hate Silva, but I’m still happy that Rampage won. Having said that, the last 2 punches were obviously not needed, but I guess it was just pay back for all those knees Rapmage ate in the previous 2 fights with Silva!

To those biased fans who say Rampage should be fined for those last punches or that he was “not professional: YOU DON’T KNOW MUCH ABOUT MMA OR YOU ARE SIMPLY CRY BABIES!! It’s MMA and it happens alot of the time because the fighters are full of adrenaline and the fight is not over until the ref stops the fight!
Have you ever seen what Wanderlei has done to opponents when they were already knocked out in Pride? Wanderlei has stomped on his opponents when they are down and out!!Also, how professional was Wanderlei when he pushed Rampage at the weigh-ins?

1. There are no lucky punches in a fight. You thow the punch and it connects END OF STORY, OR END OF FIGHT. PERIOD.
These guys fight for a living!!! They KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING. PRO-FIGHTERS!!!!

2. True mma fans and fighters know, when in a fight u cant just turn off your rage or fight mode when crybabys want you to. Grow up, Until ref pulls you off you dont stop PUNCHING. Oh, another thing, punches are thrown with intent to hurt your opponant looking down or looking at him/her. Lucky punches do not exisit.

There’s no such thing as a lucky punch. If you throw a hard punch with the intention of doing damage and it lands…mission accomplished. Anyone who says those last few punches weren’t necessary needs to watch the first two fights, Quinton deserved more payback than that in my opinion. Good thing the ref was there.
