Great fight, as awkward as Jardine is, it looked like he just never found his rhythm. I think Rampage may have surprised him by coming out and clinching right away, as well as with the takedowns. Great fight by both fighters and thx for the post Bruno.

this was the only way Jardine was gonna hear the final bell, by being ultra evasive. Overall a lackluster fight thanks mainly to Keith; Rampage could of done a bit more; at times has a tendency to just sit & wait in counter mode and tends to get a bit out-hustled.

i think it’s ok for rampage not to have leg kicks but i hope he learns how to use his knees..he should have been able to seal the deal with knees a couple of times in the fight..and during the fight, it seemed like something is holding rampage back from engaging..he rocked jardine several times but it looked like he lost his killer instincts

Jathroooo Says, in 3-8-2009 at 14:01:05 from

Dana White is a crackhead to say Jardine will fight Rashad in the future. Dana is proving more and more to be nothing more than a confrontational a-hole. Why Jardine was even given this fight is skeptical. 6-3 in UFC and 2-2 in his last 4 and he’s fighting Rampage? Joe Silva is terrible at his job.

haha Says, in 3-8-2009 at 14:40:36 from

Jathroo are you forgetting this is a business??

in all reality the 15-0 Machida should be getting the next title shot, but he’s not a favoured entertainer..

its all about money man, same reason Lesnar got a title shot in 2 fights, because ppl wanted to see it.

having said that, not too sure who wanted to see this one LOL

St Pierre Says, in 3-8-2009 at 14:44:24 from

Blah blah blah… Machida for a title shot…

PitFighterZ Says, in 3-8-2009 at 14:54:20 from

I could only see the last round and it looked like a pretty even fight. Apparently, two judges though it, too.
Jardine is not champion material, but he is without a doubt one of the thoughest and most dangerous fighters around.
I don’t know about Dana White saying Jardine fighting Rashad, but that could happen if Jackson beats Rashad. Then, Rampage will fight Machida and Rashad could fight Jardine. But, I don’t see Jardine getting a title shot anytime soon after this defeat. However, just having so many good fighters in this weight class makes it one of the most if not the best in UFC.

TruNYC Says, in 3-8-2009 at 15:28:06 from

There are so many holes in Rampage game, I dont know how he beat Wandy. Wait!, I remember a Left Hook..DAM!

Anyways, I dont see him doing anything against Eavans, Lyoto Machida will tear Rampage and Evans apart.

Jardine was literally saved by the bell at the end of the fight. Rampage is still awesome, but he still has room to improve.

jasonX Says, in 3-8-2009 at 18:22:48 from

I can see why it was hard for Rampag3 to knock out Jardine, but i’m soo surprised Rampage didnt obliterate him! Rampag3 knocked him down a few times and had him hurt a good few times in the fight too, but just couldnt finish it. Awesome fight by both men, Jardine’s tougher than I thought.

ajk07 Says, in 3-8-2009 at 18:30:03 from

Rashad should have not got in his grill like that. GOin tear him a new one

stove6 Says, in 3-8-2009 at 19:38:48 from

I hope Rashad shocks the world by beating Rampage by KO just like he shocked the world by KOing Liddell.

SteveP Says, in 3-8-2009 at 20:32:54 from

Jardine = finished, shouldnt be fighting any top contenders anymore.
Rampage has good stand up, but Rashad has equal standup and has faster hands.. and if it goes to the ground Rashad has an advantage.
Rashad by decision or KO.
And i agree Machida deserves the title shot first…. but he wont get it.

Mute Says, in 3-8-2009 at 20:49:57 from

Who else saw Shonie Carter getting Rampage’s autograph after the fight? f****** hilarious.

psycho Says, in 3-8-2009 at 21:44:46 from

Very disappointed! Jardine’s sole purpose of being in this match was to get ktfo in spectacular fashion due to his soft chin and sloppy foot work, but it didn’t happened. Rampage truly disappointed and don’t deserve the title shot!

dabrewz11 Says, in 3-8-2009 at 23:59:39 from

Rampage has lost his aggresive style and murderous punches. I think Rashad will ko him or take him down and beat him down.

Big C Says, in 3-9-2009 at 01:22:25 from

God jardine looked like s***. I think he has arthritis throughout his whole body

compcast Says, in 3-9-2009 at 01:25:27 from

I to think rashad chances are looking good, cant wait

Corey Says, in 3-9-2009 at 02:03:41 from

It saddens me that the aggressive fighters who came in swinging in their early career have turned into the defensive fighters who pick their shots and go for decisions. I guess we do have some explosive up and comers, but watching our K’O fighters like rampage, wandy, shogun, arlovski, etc.. etc… going to the bell just seems odd. Idno, I don’t wanna sounds like a WWE fan who only comes here to see knock-outs and not care/understand the grappling/ground game but it just seems the unaired fights and filler fights have the big exciting finishes and all the main events are turning into boredom fests.

woolslayer Says, in 3-9-2009 at 02:08:40 from

Rashad is gonna brutalize Jackson. No question…. Should be Lyoto Machida’s fight…………………..

btw Says, in 3-9-2009 at 04:15:36 from

UFC is trash. They will never get their s*** together it seems. Like this division here, Silva KO’s Jardine… Then, Jackson KO’s Silva.. So they match Jackson & Jardine with immediate title shot on the line, seemingly ONLY for Jackson.. What happens if Jardine wins? Then we’re in a worse clusterfuck.. It’s trash.. Affliction should rise above, if anyone watched Day of Reckoning you’d know it was the most exciting fightcard of the year, and will most likely be for the duration of the year better than anything UFC can put together.. All these non-title headliner pay-per-views are ridiculous, not to mention the confusion they have when match making.

Steamer Bean Says, in 3-9-2009 at 14:21:20 from

Seems like something is missing. This is not the Rampage that put on a 5rd show against Henderson. I’m wondering if the personal problems he’s had aren’t distracting him.

yourallthesame Says, in 3-9-2009 at 14:29:52 from

Finally someone else who thinks the ufc is trash.

masterblaster Says, in 3-9-2009 at 18:19:18 from

rampage has a problem yes but his personal buisness get real a fighter comes into a fight with one thing on his mind…the fight, he has looked like s*** ever since he fought griffen because honestly he should have took him apart even though i like griffen he shouldnt have been a match for rampage of old

Sergio Says, in 3-9-2009 at 18:59:56 from

Would be nice to be able to see this video on whole screen.
2) Its not too bad, just kind of strange — I got two videos rolling simultaniously.

As too fight — it is grandicimo!

kiddcarter Says, in 3-9-2009 at 23:17:43 from

rampage said it himself when he was yelling with Evans, he came into this match over trained, the way he fought had nothing to do with him losing anything or personal problems, he’ll be fine when the Evans fight happens, and to the dumbass who posted earlier, if jardine had won, machida would have got the title shot, nowhere close to a clusterfuck now is it, and the last Affliction card was hella boring.

AAA Says, in 3-10-2009 at 03:23:20 from

Dana wants to make his ultimate fighter show more credible by making sure that his ultimate fighter winners are successful. Fighters like forrest griffin and rashad are great fighters, but they are not champions. Why do you think these guys win their belt and can’t hold on to it? Anderson Silva and GSP are the fighters who have truly EARNED their tittle shots and have truly won their belt.
Jardine has a tendancy to act weird and act as if he’s hurt, so it’s hard for his opponents to tell when he is really hurt; I think that’s why Jackson didn’t really try to finish the fight when jardine got rocked. He simply didn’t wanna run out of gas.

Fighterfan Says, in 5-5-2009 at 16:53:43 from

This crazy Jardine got a title fight? It’s laughable. Just make me have less and less interest with UFC.

Big Daddy Says, in 5-20-2009 at 22:37:48 from

rampage kicked jardines azz

Murrell Says, in 6-10-2009 at 17:47:48 from

I like Rampage, but he is very predictable, I hate to say it but rashad who I dont really care for will beat him! jackson has no kicks no submissions just hard punches and some grapling, not enough to stay a champ!
