Rampage Jackson Says Talk White To Get 911 Help - Video

The other day Rampage Jackson was asked what he thought about NFL star Sean Taylor being shot and killed. At first he didn’t know anything about it but when the man told Jackson that he died after being shot in the leg Rampage went on a role.

“Shot in the leg and died,” he asked the cameraman. “Where the hell was the ambulance? Flavor Flav was real when he said 911 was a joke.” Rampage then got a bit racial by saying “Black folks, when you get in trouble [and you] call 911, please sound white when you call.”

It seemed that he was implying that only white people can get help from 911. That’s what it sounded like to me. What do the Rampage followers out there think? Please let us know. Thanks.

nothig sounds like racial to me. there is still racism in this country and probably always will. where ramapage is from isnt the safetest place to live in so he knows what he’s talking about from his experience. and you cant judge him from saying that because obviously he doesnt have any knowldege about this incident so he assummed the football player got disadvantage for being black

* i just searched it on wikipedia.org. the reason why he died was loss of too much blood and somehow house phone didnt work so his wife had to call 911 on her cell phone which delayed response time

i think they should have programs in our country (USA) that take rich white kids to black hoods and black kids to white hoods and see how each other lives like they stay there for a 6 week period and do everything the kid from the opposite family did.we can call it kids swap, thats the only way white people are gonna wake up to all this stuff

Please! Anyone who actually believes today that medics are somehow racist and are actually looking for black people to die is a complete joke. There are other things to learn from this tragedy…get an alarm system or at least a fucking dog, then get your self a good 12ga shotgun and/or other multitude of home-defense “tools” and doble-tap any fucker that dares to brake into your house…but the most important lesson is…never bring a knife to gunfight (like this guys did!)

I think perception is just as valid as the reality. It doesn’t matter if what he says is actually true, what matters is that he and others think it is true. The black people in the USA face racism everyday, but i think “times are a changing”.

I think the truth may be that those who handle 911 calls are not well trained and are given a list of what is high priority based on the nature of the call.

Bottom line, I think it is the way 911 is managed BUT perception is real to those who perceive it.

Where is the racism that the deceased faced? He’s dead for who knows what reason, I am neither deaf dumb or blind, but I do think that racism is fuelled by those who keep it alive by saying things like Rampage said.

Ok, So other then the fact that Phoenix FD and PD is more then 50% African American/Hispanic means you have to call up and act white. Moronic statement.

Take it from a “First Responder” with Phoenix FD. I am black, and we have never, after 31 years of working with law enforcement and/or medical staff. Did we EVER go….hmm he/she is Black, Hispanic, Asian, WHITE, “putting in my race card here” female, male…what have you and go…. Well the suns are on, lets wait.

Or take it one step back from that. Dispatch is the one who takes the call right? It’s not the medical staff/EMS it’s the the people at 911. Well they have a timer that HAS TO BE MET, or red flags go off all over there office. Time call comes in to response time. Trust me, the system does not ask you this question. “Is this person Black?” If so there will be a 15 min wait time while we send EMS to get Taco Bell to get the office for lunch.

If you are “insert race here” and are not “insert your race here” you can’t do “what ever you cant find the SELF motivation for here” so you end up blaming “i bet you know what goes here right.

Sean Taylor lived in a million dollar neighborhood. He lived in a one million dollar house on a rich block. In a poor neighborhood, I might believe it takes 911 longer to respond but that’s not the case here.

I think the Paramedics and the EMT’s do a fine job; they do the best they can. On a sad note it’s built into blacks that the system is against them. It’s a little of both. The system is on some cases against them but you gotta work hard to make it in this world. There is every opportunity for a black man to make it. For anybody to make it. There is much less racism in 2007, than in 1940, you have to be an idiot to believe otherwise.

On a fighting note, Rampage Jackson is a true champion. he has worked hard to get to were he is today and as a fighter and champ, he has my respect. My hat’s off to him.
