The day before his arrest Quinton “Rampage” Jackson did this interview. He talks a lot about his fight with Griffin and how God has changed him. Rampage sounds a bit strange as the interview goes on.
Rampage does not seem himself in that interview at all.
He seems depressed or something. Also looks a little drunk or something.
Hopefully all the facts will come out soon in this case
He’s so high in this vid at one part he’s softing up a blunt lol poor guy taking the lost real hard.
rampage is a good dude i hope he gets his shit together and comes back better than ever
Rampages downfall is his mental weakness.
He is a broken man in this video. Not the same jovial guy we all know with his wise cracks.
Either that or he is high or something.
that was the first time in a while I’ve seen Quinton talk about god, so I agree, it does seem like he’s a little depressed the same way he did after his string of losses in pride.
Rampage looks exhausted and out of sorts in this interview. He said at the beginning he couldn’t sleep or eat and was feeling a little depressed. Hopefully he snaps out of this and gets back on track.
I think he was drunk. The comment at the end by the interviewer made that more apparent.
Rampage was really screwed up mentally in that interview. I think he had a breakdown of some sort. Hopefully he can get some help and put himself back together mentally.
By the way, how big of a douche was that guy interviewing him?
Yeah, does seem like he’s stoned or something. Just rambles on and on. God this and God that.
That wasn’t a blunt he had in his hands. That was a black and mild. Just tobacco in it.
That fight reminded me of playing Tekken with someone who just uses the Low Kick over and over again to defeat their opponents.
That is a Pussy Move, but smart, in Forrest’s case because in a toe to toe all out brawl- Rampage would Dominate him!
Something was definitely bothering Rampage. He is depressed, been there myself. Actually before the fight at the show he seemed alittle off of his usual self. If Dana went down there to get him it was more than going down there for the company’s investment sake…white’s an azz at times but when he takes care of a fighter he takes care of him. He went down there becuase I think he knows Jackson is bad off right now. Either way, he’s human, this is america and he can come back, enter the octagon and make money. Hell they let Jesse Thompson fight, right???
Guy interviewing was a moron for sure.
Rampage was high lol.” No what im sayin” lmao
“Cocaine’s a hell of a drug.”
Rampage is not in the frame of mind that is normal. He isn’t rational, talks about delusional things and rambles on.
Drugs? Mental breakdown? I hope he recovers. This video was hard to watch.
CRACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Rampages voice sounds horse, Like he had been screaming or arguing previous to the interview. Also guys he might not be drunk at all, He might just be high on pain killers. I mean he did get his knee fucked up pretty bad..
Can’t sleep for a week and feeling depressed? Maybe Cocaine its a rich and famous person drug but it seems like he might just be straight up depressed or some sort of chemical imbalance, maybe he has personal problems noone knows? He’s still a favourite fighter of mine. Did that guy ask him if he could get some gums anytime soon at the very end?
Please disregard my first comment. I’m a complete asshole and know nothing about MMA.
Thank you.
He makes sure to bring God into the conversation whenever he can, doesn’t he?
Gotta be careful with self-esteem..people who feel good about themselves b/cuz they are a “champ” will obviously spiral downward should they lose that championship status..just like people feel good due to having money will feel like crap when they lose it..not to be all Oprah but you have to have a balance of things in life that make you feel good…poor guy seems defeated, literally.
Rampage was his typical self in this interview—an incoherent moron who stammers, stutters and rambles on and on repeating the same idiotic “nothing” over and over. Throw this imbecile in a cell with his low-IQ fans, who are just as stupid as he is.
lolololol
p.s. Gary Alexander is a pea-brained “wannabe” as well.
Is the interview being held in the back of Rampage’s truck?
I think when he was champ he took it too easy because everyone considered him the #1 LHW in the world. And on TUF his gut was huge same thing with his staredown pics with Griffin, his arms weren’t ripped and his stomach was flabby. This video was kind of sad, at first he looked like his old self but as the video went on he kept mumbling and rambling.
Quinton loves the wacky tabacky. He was about to puff on that blunt. either that, or he was gonna smoke that regular tabacky, which really aint good for you.
the ultimate fighter show is what messed him up..i hope he got payed good for that.
how about Quinton Jackson messed Quinton Jackson up.
I am shocked he feels he still won the fight. Maybe if he was a more honest human bieng he wouldnt be in jail.
And king your a retard if you think that is an L he is twisting.
Being interviewed by that dumbass would’ve made me go on a rampage. Fuck.
from a personal experience, I think he might be on XTC or X/E… the way he talks, his willingness to share “the truth”, his constant and quick talking, him being all religious, his eye wiggles near the end of the video. People going through depression are more likely to try/use the drug MDMA.
Worst interview ever! Why didnt he get down and slob on Rampages nob…
I’m sure its been said 100 times, but could that guy kiss ass anymore? The Griffin-Jackson fight wasn’t controversial at all, Forest destroyed him. No one with any understanding of MMA or even decent eyesight for that matter could contend that Jackson won the fight in any way, and even though it sucks to lose the title on a decision, he plainly lost the fight. Someone fire this interviewer, no cocksuckers allowed in MMA
From my experience, this looks like a case of bi-polar disorder. I’ve seen this with a close family member. I’d guess that Rampage began to go into a depression after the fight but then worked himself out of it, either through prescription anti-depressants or by self-medicating through lack of sleep and too much caffeine and/or other stimulants. Depression makes you crash, and feel like crap, so bi-polar people who have experienced depression in the past feel it coming on and then they do everything in their power to reverse it. Unfortunately, the result is that you swing too far the other way and become manic, which is what you just saw: rambling speech, a bizarre optimism that leaves you cold because it’s such obvious denial (”this loss is the best thing that ever happened to me, even though I think I won”), and quite often an over emphasis on forces bigger than oneself (for religious people it’s God). What you saw here, though, is just the beginning. By the time Rampage was picked up by police I guarantee you that his speech had gone from rambling to frantic and his denial and God obsession had morphed into the paranoid idea that everyone was against him and wanted to bring him down and couldn’t see that God had changed him for the better. Sad to see, but perfectly treatable, on the condition that you can convince the person that they are indeed bi-polar (which is tough once the paranoia kicks in, especially since it actually feels good to be manic in comparison with the over-riding fear of sinking into depression). I wish the best for the guy.
Quinton Jackson is a hard place right now. I’ve been there myself. I think he feels like he has caused his own downfall, and is having a hard time handling the situation. No one should ever have to go through those feelings, and i hope he turn it around. My heart goes out to Mr. Jackson and his family. My support goes out to him, not as a fighter but as a man.
It’s obvious that something was wrong with Rampage in this interview, but Ramapge is an awesome fighter and a great guy! I hope his condition improves immediately. He is one of the most charismatic fighters in mma and he can become the Champ again if he sets his mind to it.
He talks about god because he turned to christianity not too long ago, not because he is drunk or high. Im not sayin he isn’t though, I just havent seen enough of him speaking to judge that. But he seems like a cool dude, hope he recovers from this and gets his belt back; It’d be a shame if he didn’t, honestly.
Go to wikipedia and type in “Quinton Jackson”.
