No doubt that Feijao was the better fighter. But if I was the ref, I probably would have disqualified him. Knee to the groin, and then at 2:22 he strikes him in the back of the head, at 2:15 he hammer strikes him in the back of the head. Sure he was winning, but breaking the rules while doing it.

Watch the knee shots again…none of them, including the last knee that haulted the action were anywhere near Cole’s groin. They were all knee to thigh and knee to knee shots.

For the back of the head strikes, those were iffy. I could see if Feijao had his back and was intentionally dropping shots to the back of the head. Cole was squirming around a lot and shifting for position. Those shots were inadvertent.

Run back Feijao vs Cole in 10 fights, and I’d give Feijao all ten wins.

Feijao did a couple of illegal things, but Cole was out of the fight when the hammer fist fell.

What a bad time for Cole to get on his knees to take a rest. You knew Mario wasn’t going to let him take anymore of those whipping rights to the face. Oh this fight would have been a good reason why knees or soccer kicks to a grounded opponent is illegal. Could you imagine what would have happened if Feijao grabbed Cole to the back of the head and unleashed a knee while he was on all fours?

Ya getting hit in the nuts or poked in the eye usually results in you losing, it’s like it’s worth doing it repeatedly and giving away a measely little point for the advantage it gives you over your opponent. I agree, Goldberg is a total douche, why the hell is an ex pro wrestler interviewing mma fighters anyway?
