Baroni had a better ground game early than I have seen in a long time… but he gassed again… and had nothing late.

I was just glad to see both of these guys showing the ability to go the distance. I was starting to wonder about both. Switching gears….I’m pretty sure that was Ranallo doing commentary but who was the fighter commenting with him on this? Sounded like a good ol boy.

Is it me or does anybody else think Baroni looks smaller and less explosive. He looked like a moving heavy bag out there. I dont think Riggs felt threatened in that fight at all

Long time coming from Riggs, he needs to keep winning and improving though…some of his recent fights have been gash.

Definitely a much improved Joe Riggs. I will give Boloni credit for a chin that is quite a bit better than Andre Arlovski, and slightly improved cardio than normal; however, improved cardio is not exceptional cardio, and Baloni was spent in the 3rd.

I agree that Riggs needs to work on finishing, he had multiple opportunities to lay it on and backed off to let Baloni recover. Still, he did quite well, bravo.

Seriously Phil Baroni needs to either retire or get a new conditioning coach, going the distance is one thing but gassing out midway through R1 is another.

Riggs looked good but needs to fight a credible opponent: Jake Shields.
