On Friday,June 22 in a partnership between EliteXC and Strikeforce Phil Baroni and Frank Shamrock will step into the cage to determine the MMA loud mouth championship.
Both fighters have been bad mouthing each other since the fight was announced. Phil Baroni talks a lot of trash but he also just loves to talk. If you just stick a mic up in the air Baroni will pop up out of nowhere and grab it. After he drops countless F-Bombs describing how lousy his opponent is he will drop just as many describing just how good he is. Most people consider Baroni a great guy and see all of his trash talk as loud mouth fun.
Frank Shamrock is a legend in the sport. He is also an even bigger legend in his own mind. Shamrock’s trash talk seems to rub people the wrong way. He is one of the most respected fighters but also one of the most hated. His heated rants about his opponents tend to be darker and have more hate behind them.
As the fight approaches the verbal assaults will surely escalate. I for one can’t wait to see who can jam the biggest boot in their mouth before fight time.
While the verbal bashing is fairly even between the two the fight will not be that close. Shamrock’s famous cardio and ground game will not get a chance to show. Baroni will come through with a quick first round K.O. Time for Shamrock to take the money and run.
