Filho showed a solid chin, and was flat out flirting with being knocked unconscious throughout the fight. A little bit of bad luck for Melvin but then again that’s always been his Achilles heel; a terrible ground game and SUB-defense. Dangerous opponent none the less and will always have a punchers chance.

Good fight, but both men should flaws. Manhoef looked great, but the second Filho took the fight to the ground, you knew it was over.

melvin has good standup and pretty quick, but he needs major major work still especially with grappling, take down defense and a lot of other shit.

He’s not back! He simply had this fight given to him. Seriously, as soon as Melvin got taken down he appeared to give up; he showed absolutely no defense or resistance to the mount and then he just allowed Filho to take his arm. Pathetic. It’s a shame Melvin wouldn’t move to a great camp (Jackson’s, Xtreme Coutore, Mark Dellegrotti, ATT, AKA, etc.) and just dedicate his time to takedown/submission defense because if he could get that down, he could be a scary scary guy.

this fight turned Filho into a man; Filho has had a lot of negative incidents in his life as of recently. This performance and the fact that Manhoef hit him with some shots that would of KO’d many other fighters, did a lot to re-enforce Filho’s psyche. Afters this it’s gonna be very difficult to KO Filho; and oakland your right, great show of striking and grappling by both men.
